4e 3rd Party Products You Would Have Bought

I'd buy a 4e system to handle running a domain or territory, but then I'm not sure that it'd be necessary to make a 4e version.

Skill challenge question - how would you...

If I were to put PC's in this kind of situation, I would not kill them by choice. The conversion to CE option would be there, and any number of others. Ultimately, I'd let any reasonable attempt at a skill work. Combat would however, be futile against the Big Bad, if not outright impossible...

    WoW and 4e - where's the beef?

What's winning? I wasn't even aware it was a contest. Means Iron Sky has gotten one character to max level, another to the old max, and played the others to some extent. Which doesn't quite tell us everything, but at least hopefully shows some familiarity with the game.

    WoW and 4e - where's the beef?

Which makes your decision to try to frame things in those terms all the more bewildering. What does a video game feel like to you? Me? I know there are way too many different video games with way too many different feels for that question to be meaningful. Even the same game can be looked at...

    WoW and 4e - where's the beef?

I'd say I'm a bit miffed by how you moved the goal posts on me, but I'm not, I'm actually miffed at how you didn't acknowledge that the question you asked was way too ambiguous to answer. Sorry, but "video game" is something you're going to have to define, or others will, and their definitions...

    WoW and 4e - where's the beef?

Ok, why? And what solution would you suggest? Would you prefer that 4E feature some way for all classes to fill each different role, or just allow a number of other roles? What problems do you think that might cause? And before I forget, how would you say the situation was different in...

    WoW and 4e - where's the beef?

Define video game. ET for the 2600 was a video game. And no, 4E is not a poorly put together exercise in mindless tedium that frustrated thousands into tears. I also don't think it caused the producing company to bury truckloads of the product either.

    Where do I get...

I'd honestly avoid purchasing anything, you never know, Wizards might decide to let their older material out again at some point. Of course, if you have records of your purchases, or whoever you bought them from does, you can always see if your local region permits you to re-acquire lost and...

How the heck did medieval war work? And other rambling questions.

Second. The Ladies of Mandrigyn was the first one in the series, and the Dark Hand of Magic was the last.

How the heck did medieval war work? And other rambling questions.

Who eats lunch at 9 in the morning? Even when my high school was insane, they at least waited till 10. Besides, didn't at least one Vampire sleep through the Hundred Years War?

Question for Scott Rouse re: Retroclones

Not really, sometimes it can even be counter-productive to try. Discretion, y'know?

Question for Scott Rouse re: Retroclones

I think you overestimate exactly how much that is. I'd put it somewhere below zero actually.

Running a short game for first time players at school

    Associated Press notes D&D lawsuits

Both, in general have the right in federal court. So if anybody is sued wants to say "No, I demand the right to have a jury" they can, and they'll get it.

    Good, system-indpendent, space adventure settings?

Steve Jackson Games made a few, GURPS: Unnight and the Space Atlas series were relatively system light.

    One Man's Trash is Another Man's Treasure --on 3pp product "glut" 4e / 3e

I'm sorry, but I'm afraid you completely blew past what I already said, otherwise you might have noticed where I mentioned talking about those very things. If you aren't able to comprehend what I'm saying to the point where you don't even notice that, I don't know how we can proceed.
