D&D 5E (2014) I Am SO Over The "Rootless Vagabond" Archetype

It also makes sense from a narrative perspective, as the heroes randomly dying from a random missile, and not from something like a final battle with the evil boss himself, also doesn't make sense.

Pathfinder 1E How do you guys handle young characters?

Duuuude, that would be sick. Gnome-eating reindeer, the candy cane machine that pulls off fingers if you aren't careful, rampaging Abominable Snowmen...that would rock.

I'd only join an organization if it was the nWo. ORRR, the nWo Wolfpack.

Pathfinder 1E How do you guys handle young characters?

Dude, it could be a 'party' of kids trying to escape the ludicrously unsafe industrial factory they work at and were locked in. That would be as brutal as it would be Metal.

Pathfinder 1E How do you guys handle young characters?

Because most PCs are immature. It was der humor ja.

    D&D 5E (2014) Firearms, Explosives and You

That's what I'd give the Batsuit.

D&D 5E (2014) If you aren't buying magic items, where will you spend your gold?

Why waste your hard-stolen gold on that, when you could go the cheaper route and put all their heads, torsos and/or genitals on pikes just outside of town?

    It's modern if you're Batman.

D&D 5E (2014) I Am SO Over The "Rootless Vagabond" Archetype

Don't think of it as 'oops', think of it as adding your armor class after the fact. Or, having a separate, optional set of hitpoints.

Pathfinder 1E How do you guys handle young characters?

So, most PCs are banned as concepts in your games? Also, what if the player is ok with his Robin not being as good as the Batman? Alternatively, what if for PCs, there just is no mechanical difference? They aren't as weak as other kids, but they don't get better than the other PCs when they...

Pathfinder 1E How do you guys handle young characters?

On the other hand, I like the visual of a pint-sized Half-Orc kid with giant hands and feet, with a mean case of underbite, just suckerpunching adults and throwing them around city streets, bashing in rat heads with a big giant wrench or something.

Pathfinder 1E How do you guys handle young characters?

I feel this way about older characters, since I love The Dark Knight Returns. Honestly, just play it by ear and do what you want. Your idea of making them a size smaller, that's cool. Although, how small is Small? Are children larger than Halflings?

D&D 5E (2014) I Am SO Over The "Rootless Vagabond" Archetype

I in fact played a superhero game where our characters were working for the government. And I thought it was such a cool idea until I played two of the games, where it was just used for railroading purposes and nothing else. I gotta be honest though, a better DM would have made me really like...

D&D 5E (2014) I Am SO Over The "Rootless Vagabond" Archetype

I think players don't like being under someone else's thumb. Some might see a large organization as a much bigger, much less personal GMPC. Especially if they're the only way to get cool equipment or gain levels.

    D&D 5E (2014) Evasive Footwork???

But what if it takes you multiple turns to run somewhere, and so you end your turn running?

I want to make a big ol' Buddha Monk who attacks everyone with his belly.

D&D 5E (2014) If you aren't buying magic items, where will you spend your gold?

This is why I'm interested in settings with paper money. It's why I love the wild west as a setting, actually.
