The DM did IMPURE things to my PC!

I think this is similar and would eventually result in resentment between players. The player and DM alike would have to resolve these conflicts in an open discussion because, if left unchecked, would escalate into serious player vs. player confict. Who knows? Maybe the druid might try to take...

The DM did IMPURE things to my PC!

The DM plans to end the campaign completely!!! The DM has now said he is going to end the campaign completely!!!!!!!! I said I was happy to create a new character -- a Chaos worshipper -- who fits in with the group but, nope, he's not interested. Now *I* look like the villain don't I?

The DM did IMPURE things to my PC!

I wouldn't say straightlaced. I'm willing to play a "Chaos" PC anyday. It's just the way my character was turned over to Chaos. I'm totally willing to insert a new PC that loves Tzentch and keeps secrets from the other players. (I'd never backstab them like they did to me, though.)

The DM did IMPURE things to my PC!

Yes, situations like this are great to play!!! And I think you're exactly right about messing with players only if the players enjoy it just as much as the DM. And, yes, do it with STYLE! Also, your player was "messed with" by monsters/villains/challenges, NOT his fellow adventureres...

The DM did IMPURE things to my PC!

I'm not the newest player. We've all been playing together for pretty much the same time. Maybe you're right about the "easy target" thing, though. By nature, I'm a quiet person and perhaps the DM (wrongly) thought I'd take this lying down. ;)

The DM did IMPURE things to my PC!

Player 1 (Half-Ogre Fighter) = His level of maturity is very low and he enjoys playing characters who do deceptive, annoying things to fellow PCs (like putting warpstone in their packs) Player 2 (Human Priest) = I *think* she wanted to play something different so, in conjuction with the DM...

The DM did IMPURE things to my PC!

This is the first I've heard of getting a "Will Power save" so I'm guessing you did it behind the screen. But save or no save, such a powerful effect on a PC - that changes his whole character concept and makes him become a puppet of Chaos in order to satisfy the other backstabbing characters -...

The DM did IMPURE things to my PC!

Something like this already happened! The half-ogre fighter had been secretly telling the DM that his character puts warpstone in his companion's backpacks. This caused me to get a mutation on the leg. A little tentacle budded its way below the surface of the skin. It took ages for me to get rid...

The DM did IMPURE things to my PC!

Then it should be stated that this is the sort of campaign you are running; ie. that "anything can happen" and that it is a likely possibility that your PC will screwed with (by player and DM alike) because this is the nature of your campaign. If you do this, then the player can agree -- at the...

The DM did IMPURE things to my PC!

Title change I changed the title to: "The DM did IMPURE things to my PC" I know the original title was edited by the moderators and I agree with this decision. I apologise but I was just very upset at the time. The moderators changed it to: "The DM mind-controlled my PC" but I feel that...

The DM did IMPURE things to my PC!

Yes, I've just warned him in person to keep it civil. I doubt he'll reply anytime soon. He is very busy with work and could take a couple of weeks.

    Iron Kingdoms world book ships!!

Does Iron Kingdoms do anything different to the Core Rules? For example, do they resolve firearms combat differently from the Core Rules: roll against AC and that's it. Or do they have DR and stuff like that for firearms? Thanks.

    TSR Q&A with Gary Gygax

Dear Gary, How many years did you run your Greyhawk campaign? Could you please list all the worlds/dimensions that players interacted with? Murlynd obviously travelled to a Wild West world (was this just Earth?) and, apparently, there was cross-overs to Rob Kuntz's campaign setting. Did the...

Taladas. Is it still going ahead?

The only reason I'd start a DL campaign is if I could start it on Taladas. Is it still going ahead? How are the new DL publications selling? Or, are they going to die like many other d20 campaign settings? You have to forgive me if I'm not finding out all this stuff from the Draganlance Nexus...

    What happened to the story?

Yes, it is acting but the point I'm getting at is that with every time you roleplay or even roll that d20 to strike that frost giant a narrative is unfolding. You are inadvertantly creating a story with the GM.

    What happened to the story?

My sentiments exactly. D&D (all roleplaying games) are games, but they are also heavily influenced by a narrative and in-game experience. Rules should be explained in the setting and vice versa. This is a mark of good game design, I think. If it were *just* a game, then why role play in it...

    TSR Q&A with Gary Gygax

Greyhawk's demihuman (& monster) pantheons Hi Gary, In the back of UA there is an appendix with an example demihuman pantheon in it. Was this *officially* given the OK by you to become canon for the Greyhawk campaign? I've got a feeling it wasn't. I felt that it was only an *example* pantheon...
