    Battlerager: Experiences?

ask your players if they would be comfortable if some monsters hit dropped by one and in return received battlerager traits. I wonder if they would then think it was balanced? possibly give these new monsters the temp hit points at will attack (whatever its called)

Can one of the lead designers of D&D please stand up and clarify "Rain of Blows"?

has anyone calculated what the average damage of rain of blows at the level it can be used? If no interpretation is clear then the best idea is to find out the average damage compared to the other ablities at its level and use that.

Am I reading something wrong or is Tempest fighter just better?

an artifact of using common language to mean something in the rules. It might be a heavy knife and still be a light blade where blades are a larger category that even include great swords. Is it heaver then say a short sword? if not its really not a problem. Unless their is something less...

    Tempests with double weapons

What i think is broken about tempest and double weapons is that a tempest doesn't give up the +1 to hit. They get that with offhand weapons and double weapons have the off hand property. So really they take a feat, Get high damage dice weapons that do a ton of extra damage, get the bonus to hit...

Can Warlocks Select Powers from Other Pacts?

As far as i know, no class is limited to a specific set of abilities (inside their class), their are just a groups of abilities they use better.

AV allows magic item power creep. Am I overlooking something?

can you post some build examples? From what i have seen on these forums, a tempest dwarf is pretty sick when you give him double ended axes. whats LFR's view on double weapons? are they both offhand?

AV allows magic item power creep. Am I overlooking something?

How about this? both mp and av add options that are clearly better then their phb counterparts. Thus the monsters become weaker in the process. Without stronger monsters the game becomes easier and in effect less fun (see game where monsters take no actions). With stronger monsters, the game...

    Most overpowered / underpowered ?

an archer ranger can choose twf as well and get toughness for free. The only difference is one might not be able to take the paragon paths in player handbook. other then that everything else functions normally.

    Most overpowered / underpowered ?

This is a major understatement. I have been in games where I knew i clearly had the strongest character with the highest ac, hit and damage + spells (3.5) but it was the other guy who bragged and was called the broken character (when he was only mediocre). I like to be modest at times I am...

Way to grant longsword "off-hand" property

well kindof You could wield double sword. Just re flavor it as a set of long swords expertly crafted to dual wield. You could be a tempest fighter without any problems.

Nerfing the Archer Ranger a little

increasing damage dice is much better then weapon focus. every time one uses a special power, the X[w] is multiplying the +1 damage one gets. You have a good point that warlocks and rogues can hit against something other then ac.

Where the heck is this +1 Damage coming from?

to bug test, give him a non versatile weapon and see how the program reacts. or take away his shield (and if its possible convey he is wielding the weapon two handed). if nothing changes you know were the +1 damage is coming from

Nerfing the Archer Ranger a little

*edit* i diden't like what I wrote, so i changed it* At first i was annoyed when elves did not get feat that lets them get a +2 damage with bows but then I realized that elf archers were probably good enough. I don't think they are broken but they are strong. its possible that because of...

Nerfing the Archer Ranger a little

I agree The reason is IF you use AV, everyone gets a kind of upgrade. its not a balanced book. so my point is simply if you use that book, great bow is fine, but the great bow is better if its only the ranger that's using that book. that's my point. I agree

Nerfing the Archer Ranger a little

its not really a good idea because the strikers are supposed to have high damage. if you take away the great bow are you going to take away all the other high damage weapons and double weapons? Mithreinmaethor how are you getting +4 damage after your dice damage?

    Philosophy behind Intelligent Blademaster feat

Fighters, clerics, warlord, melee rangers, paladins. Now they can sacrafice here and thier and not truly be MAD, but in comparison, Ranged Ragers and Wizards only need one primary stat and one secondary stat.
