    Battlerager: Experiences?

I know what you mean. I play a elven archery ranger, and sometimes i can go a whole game without even getting hit! I do the most damage and receive the least amount of damage. I also use every trick in the book to get cover or concealment. If i was to brag about it though, i think my ranger...

    Battlerager: Experiences?

yeah. battle rager is pretty broken in that they are nearly invincible to melee damage, AND they are kind of clunky with all that temporary hit points.

    Advice on building a Battlerager

I think it was probably having the ability to effectively not take damage.

    Tank Theory

my opinion is that while the rogue does do the most damage, he makes the better target in melee. a ranged ranger and warlock are better strikers in my opinion because they can fight without being on the front line, allowing defenders to act more like defenders. powers that let the melee ranger...

    Two-handed Weapons: Single-Handedly?

thanks, it wasn't clear the first time i read it.

    Two-handed Weapons: Single-Handedly?

where does einhander appear? i cant find it. (or are you suggesting a house rule?) anyway to the op. You could be a race that is oversized (bugbar and minotaur) and then wield a bastard sword of your size one handed. thats as close as i can think of.

Two-blades ranger with two bastards - kosher?

I have to say, theirs something amazing about seeing someone in real life fight with a longsword. It really makes one rethink the common fantasy sword.

    Adventurer's Vault masterwork armours

Ah that would be whats setting me off. I am assuming point buy to 18 with +2 race (20) so 18 ac, but i had not calculated +1 armor for ether, I just looked at level 1 armor and level 30. I had not seen that their was a discrepancy mid level for heavy armor using just the phb, but i i did...

    Adventurer's Vault masterwork armours

Yeah, but how is the heavy starting with 19? I must have missed something when i did my calculations the first time when i got the book. I started them both at 18 and worked up and got an equal number.

    Adventurer's Vault masterwork armours

When 4e came out i did the math. dealing only with stats and armor, a ranger archer (or any charicter that starts with a 20 in dex or inteligence) vs any character with god plate, essentially tie in terms of armor. I forget the number though. I do remember that a shield breaks the tie.

Archer vs TWF, again. Forked Thread: Proud Nails?

I like to think both are balanced, but my opinion laced with bias says the archer is better because of how they are able to allocate their stats. Elf arches are really fun. They allow for maximum dex and really nice wisdom. One really doesn't need much else for archery. My view is that twf...

My armour hinders my recovery from... Lycanthropy??

Its really how its made. Theirs Jousting quality armor today that's only 30 pounds (that's everything and safe enough to joust in). Some armor is 80, but that's really a high number i think. Most armor is not that heavy. granted i don't think one could do tumbles in full plate. The videos I have...

My armour hinders my recovery from... Lycanthropy??

This one can actually be explained really easily. if you have cover, perhaps part of your view is being obstructed with the person trying to get in your head. Eye contact, that kind of thing. I know it doesn't make sense in all scenarios though.

Two-blades ranger with two bastards - kosher?

wow, that halfing is huge! just a random thought i think using flavor as an excuse to shaft someone on the rules wise is pretty low. If the rules allow for dual wielding d10 weapons i wouldn't use flavor as an excuse and force the dual wilder into wielding d6 weapons or a d6 and a d8. I get...

Two-blades ranger with two bastards - kosher?

Sword fighting can be criticized because it is apart of history and reality. Magic is not. At least that's how it see it. By keeping some parts believable one also helps to meld the magic to the reality and give it life. Otherwise everyone will have a power level of 10 thousand. Everyone has...

Wizard + Dungeon Door = Invincible Wizard?

Here is an idea for a specific encounter. If the wizard hides outside in another room, Have a monster in the room with the encounter flip a switch. An iron gate slides shut blocking the wizard from the rest of the party. Come up with devious ideas from there.
