Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

The big floppy hats are probably a large part of how we managed to spend a week walking around Big Bend NP without getting horribly sunburned. (We also had good sunblock.)

    D&D General 1s and 20s: D&D's Narrative Mechanics

Or use "fail/succeed by X" mechanics, if you need Extreme Success/Failure. (In a game where you're just rolling the 1 d20, at least.)

    Cookin again

I've made it, and I don't remember it being difficult. Maybe a little slow and attention-needing. (this doesn't mean it's not worth using a pressure cooker if you have one)

Unless you have someone to sing with you, for the counterpoint stuff.

Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

Both these things can be--and are--true.

Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

When I'm writing something long-form, my daily hard minimum is a thousand words. I wrote the player-facing setting information for the last D&D 5e campaign I started in a day, and that was a 5400+ word thing (to be fair, mostly an expansion of a much sketchier document for newcomers to the city).

Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

Seems like people are missing the "An' it harm none" bit.

Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

The one I tend to reach for is "If you only ever tell the truth, you never have to remember anything." Somehow I think that's not the one you're thinking of.

Unrelated to the above: Ignorance is no defense, you know.

Best. Part of that includes knowing when to shut up.

    Sinners (2025)

That's a sound review. I'll say that you can leave when you want; anything after the credits start is going to be an epilogue, and it's a reasonable position not to care about those (the first one is probably worth staying for, the second might well not be).

Sure, he was in the audience, not the band, it's right there above the headline.

Human definitely are weird. Especially humans who think Shane MacGowan was in The Clash. 😉

It's weird that it's only happened twice, yes.

Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

No, no, that won't work. You might be able to get some agreement on some less-provocative phrasing for now, but the next time there's a discussion even remotely relevant he'll be using that insulting-sounding turn of phrase again, and insisting he's not being insulting.

What are you reading in 2025?

Oh, people really really liked it, and I expect it to win. I thought it was a cluttered pile that tried to do and say a lot of things, but never really managed to tell a story. I am aware I am an outlier, here. It's the only nominated novel I've read this year, I have no preferred candidate.

What are you reading in 2025?

Yeah, my money's on The Ministry of Time, as well, though my opinion of it was very much at odds with the overall zeitgeist.

What are you reading in 2025?

I've been meaning to reread them, haven't gotten to that yet. I'll try to keep that in mind. I'm not sure I read them in order, and I'm pretty sure there were probably at least a dozen novels, between them.
