I greatly dislike real world cultures in my D&D.
That’s one of the reasons I prefer Greyhawk to any other setting. Unlike the Known World and the outer parts of Forgotten Realms, the major Flanaess tribes and nations generally can’t be pinned down to specific Earth analogies.
For my take of...
Wikipedia doesn't seem to agree it did poorly. Apparently, it was from 6th to 3rd most streamed show in its release weeks and:
<<Willow had a demand level 14.6 times higher than the average show during Q1 2023.[58] It was among the top 10% in popularity during Q1 2023 before its removal.[59]...
Yes, I had heard they were not making season 2 & 3 - which were teased when they put Book 1 on a bookshelf next to Book 2 & Book 3 at the end of the final episode - even though season 2 is alleged to be fully written.
But apparently Disney+ won’t even show season 1 anymore? That’s what I think...
Looks like "The Willow Sourcebook" is the thing I wanted - thanks.
The idea, for my campaign, is to have a faraway setting the PC's might visit. The Sourcebook plus memories of the Series + making things up should get the job done, if needed.
Thanks for sharing.
I read about those of Expedia. It seems the plots contradict what happened in the Disney+ series.
And it’s the series I find most interesting.
So far as I can tell, no RPG or setting materials based on “Willow” - the 1980’s movie and 2022 Disney+ series that was canceled after season 1.
I’m fond of Willow, so I wonder if I missed something?
Not sure if serious …
As a partially Norwegian American … oh, look at the user name … hey, yo, same name as the King of Norway! … I never saw the Barbarians of the Thillonrian Peninsula as specifically Norwegians. Generic fantasy Vikings, but I never “ooh, the Frost are specifically Danes...
This campaign is on email, with players I know from real life outside gaming. It’s been going since 1998, but 2 of the 3 players in this subgroup have “only” been with the group 2-3 years of real life (a month of game time).
The young cloud giantess, Fulith, went into the walled village with...
I did not know that. And yet, not surprising.
I believe The Simpson’s had an episode where Burns gets an early VR headset and complains the only content is dragons, and all the dragons want to do is have sex.
Thus always was mankind, I suppose.
“All the world’s indeed a stage
And we are merely players
Performers and portrayers
Each another’s audience
Inside the gilded cage
Living in the limelight
The universal dream
For those who wish to seem.
Those who wish to be
Must put aside the alienation
Get on with the fascination
The real...
I downloaded it, and recalling lore of controversy about illustrations, I decided to see what the fuss was.
Is “Dream of the Decapus” and the 3-headed creatures what it’s about?
As I was reading this while eating lunch, I thought “Snarf like”.
Then I realized I had to get back to work before I could finish it.
That I did finish it is a testament to some good ideas here.
But my, Snarf is succinct compared to this.
The stuff on eBay might be interesting to some people, but might be slightly pricey - some because they are still shrink wrapped.

From TripAdvisor, it says the Dungeon Hobby Shop Museum is permanently closed, but the Lake Geneva Museum has an exhibit about...
This is between NPC’s, suggested by PC’s as a joke, but taken seriously by the NPC’s.
Not directly a sex thing - what happens offstage between NPC’s won’t be seen no matter what it is. Like I said - “Downton & Dragons”, as in Downton Abbey like roleplaying in the downtime between adventures...
In my campaign, a group of 3 player characters is allied with a group of 5 Cloud Giants. Long story, they’ve all been through some stuff.
Arriving back at civilization, in the form of a walled feudal village on a river island, the Cloud Giant Chieftain asked the PC’s to buy food from the...
It occurred to me tonight, one of my players is a big fan of “Beastmaster” (he has 15 birds himself) - I wonder if anyone ever created a setting for that, if we’re looking at fantasy movies contemporary with the Greyhawk Folio or Gold Box. So far as I can tell, nothing like that exists.
Nor...
