Disjunction.
Anti-Magic Fields.
Make them desire someone who can actually handle the Disjunction.
In truth, I wouldn't worry too much about it though as long as everyone is having fun.
What domains do the clerics happen to have anyway?
Hehe, the spells in general are tame and just rehashes of 'Old Spells'. Nothing particularly memorable in it, unforunately. Well except that it's save or die spells are still Save or Die and not Save or Massive Damage...
I'd suggest Prismatic Eye for 'cheesy spell of the week' from PGF...
Off hand, I can't think of a class, but for 3.5 monsters, I can think of some.
Poison for instance :). [especially true of the stronger poisons]
Ah, the Slime Lord, although it's just paralyzing touch, but again it isn't necessarily kill.
Drunken Master [Breath of Flame is Con DC based], but...
Congradulations :) on being accepted, and more importantly, on getting the fin aid for it :).
[ Sad history story for myself with CMU, but oh well :) ]
Difference of opinion there, but one I'm not so much inclined to argue over :).
I am more willing to argue that those feats are significantly more than "+2 to three skills", however :).
[ Edit / Add ]
Which was mostly my intent in that last seeing as how it was stated that the amped up...
Well, you'll notice some other discrepancies...
The HitDice for instance, drops when you go Epic Hammer.
If I had to guess, it looks like they shifted design ideaology on the Hammer, but failed to update the Epic progression.
In other words, I think the caster progression and the hitdie in...
I would assume so, there's nothing to say that they can't.
At epic levels, you get extra Instant Metamagics/day as well (11,13,15,17,19, so every odd), which will most likly get quite vicious and evil if they don't errata that :).
+1 to AC + All Saving Throws
Immune to Fear
Numerous Immune to 'shaken' state + Other Stuff Feats
Type change to native outsider (all the benefits of a type change, without the downside of being an outsider, including 60 ft darkvision).
20' ft Frightful Prseence ability (Charge/Full Attack/Cast...
No, you do not gain the benefits of specialization if you weren't a specialist to begin with. It is completely an added cost.
And I'm not sure, as written, it doesn't say anything about being able to cast existing spells before, but if the 3.5 DMG Red Wizard says they can, I would lean towards...
The Spellcraft checks (DC 18 + 3*Adjusted Spell Level) apply to Metamagic to other spellcaster's spells and for attempting to apply metamagic to existing spell effects. The spellcraft DC does tend to make it ... rather difficult to boost any spell past your casting range anyway.
Seize...
No, it is limited to 3+Int Modifier / day (for each it appears). It also provokes an AoO (and you must ready an action to perform the Coop), although it can be performed 'defensively' (as if Casting Defensively).
Kept this post seperate, because , err. well I forgot about this question :(.
Instant Metamagic, you just apply a metamagic feat to a spell without preparing it that way beforehand or increasing its casting time. A wizard's prepared spell works as if she had prepared it with the metamagic...
Actually, page 11 and page 12 of the ELH defines them as fighter bonus feats, however this may be antiquated (in non-FR 3.5 gameplay). Also in EpicClasses.rtf.
Oddly, it seems the 3.5 SRD definition has done away with Bonus Feat lists. This is reflected in the 3.5 Epic Berserker definition in...
Knowledge (The Planes) was dropped, and you can't have abjuration restricted... (Before I believe it was both abjuration and transmutation that were protected).
It works nicely as an epic PrC though, that is true, due to how high the Spellcraft check for the applying metamagic to ongoing...
Personally, I perfer having the tools available to seek what I want.
If I'm playing a monk, but the folks we be killing seem more interested in armor and arms, my monk is going to have alot more trouble :).
Of course, I guess it's my own fault for playing a class dependant on magic items...
Well for a PC type (not monster), the PGF has 'weaker versions' that are ECL +0...
But, from what you're talking about, I can't say so off-hand, although a -CR template would be interesting.
Not necessarily.
Remember, a 9th level spell, costs only ~ 9,000 gp to research (unless spell research got changed in 3.5). Magical Item Crafting is far more expensive than spell research. Spell Seed research is a different matter, admittantly.
Further, if you consider the 'wealth' of...
In order to convert a random floating point (0 to 1), you first must determine where the boundaries are set (0 <= x < 1 or 0 < x <= 1).
Assuming a dX type die roll desired (ie 1 to X), multiple the random floating point number times X, then either Floor it or Ceiling it (Depending on the...
Certain prestige classes can allow for that.
Incarnate can also create such a situation.
And finally, they just have a gem of true seeing that they use constantly :).
