    One-Player Campaigns

Amazing advice from Mengu. Made me rethink about Solo adventures and all the possibilities it has. Thanks!

    One-Player Campaigns

I ran 4e adventures in the past for one and two players. Things to consider: - as mentioned above, beware the amount of NPCs and who control them - 4E classes are heavily designed to work well in the concert with other clases The only classes that don't loose much working alone are...

Battle Mage's Arcane Ripose is still useless

As DM I frequently provoque OAs from Wizards and the like to position the monsters better around him, or when using certain attacks like Trample. It's typical to do that for monsters that rush through the front line to reach the squishies in the back.

    Making Magic Items Inherent

Why don't you just let THEM create the parcels? Your only job would be to pick some of them after each encounter. More balanced, less work for you (even less than typing the OP ;) )

    WOTBS - The Inquisitor (spoilers)

Yes, I agree with you that it's quite complicated to use/understand. Inquisitor's Fury and Get it Off Me!, with double attack are the core of the build I show you above. Another power I forgot to add to the above build was: Reactive Counterspell (immediate interrupt, 2/encounter) When hit by...

    December Rules Update Available

Nice idas Abdul, and 100% nailed it on what's missing. I don't agree with your "any system like 4e is going to be that way", though. Is it difficult? Yes. But not more difficult than making an excellent combat system, as we currently have.

    WotBS Recommendation for WotBS

SPOILERS!!! Escaping the city is clearly the most open ended part of the adventure, to the point that the adventure just gives you several options there which players probably will take. And suggestions on keeping your options open since PCs will come up with new ways of getting out of the...

    WotBS Recommendation for WotBS

Personally, I've never seen a pusblished adventure, or adventure path of this quality. Simple things like the overview of the campaign, are simply absent in most paths. And the promise of Epic and High Fantasy is 100% fulfilled. The first time I read it, I didn't feel I could add more choices...

When Do You Actually Roll Initiative & Clumping?

Initiative is the answer of: A and B can now go, because both can act, are aware of the situation and wants to go before the other. Who goes first? The usual order of things is: Group A is unaware of group B Group B is unaware of group A then Group A is aware of group B Group B is unaware...

I've found these drafts on a site devoted to preserve paper drawing from RPGs: PlaGMaDA Enjoy :D

    Damage progression of PCs

Totally right. The thing is: Baseline/Minimum, I know how to calculate it Defender, Striker, not much. Anyone care to do a progression, or suggest typical numbers? Yeah, I know. But how ubiquous is this?

    Spell List Generator

Ketherian's d20 Spellbook generator also does this. You have to install the little program, but the result is very similar to Ema's Spell Lists.

    when the marker is dying

Yes, I like more Elric's version as well. And leaving rules as they are, only makes things more silly, which isn't good.

    Damage progression of PCs

Yes, I know the numbers posted above are conservative. But that's because I don't know how to estimate or calculate the damage progression of PCs. For example, from what you are showing, you have two sources of extra damage: a feat that adds a secondary stat to your damage 1/round, and a class...

    Houseruled Twin Strike

I like Stalker0's version. It kind of encourages to target 2 creatures, but it solves the huge amount of damage dealt to one creature and it makes it quite balanced against Careful Strike.

    Damage progression of PCs

No, it doesn't. I'll add that and post it later to see how much it increases.

    Conversion: WGR1 Greyhawk Ruins

I'm not following you here. When is the best roll taken? What each PC is doing? In case I wasn't clear, I'll repeat what I proposed: In a turn a PC can do: - Balance Check DC 15 to advance 1/4 - Balance Check DC 15 to make another PC advance 1/4 (helping PC must be on the same quarter or...

    Conversion: WGR1 Greyhawk Ruins

This would greatly increase their odds. But that doesn't change the fact that the PCs are still tied to a run of bad rolls and there's nothing they can do about it. I would recommend you to have options to: - one PC help another in a more effective way other than Aid Another - allow the PCs...
