What are you reading in 2025?

I read it so long ago soon after it came out, but I remember two things about it - 1) it was good but not great because 2) two great tastes that went ok together, but the parts were greater than the sum. Ie, it was not better than any of the books Gibson and Sterling wrote alone that I had read...

    Starfinder Player Core Review

    Starfinder Player Core Review

    Starfinder Player Core Review

I'll say I appreciated this article. I'm a former player, didn't like the old PF system, didn't feel right for SF. Sold all my books actually 😬 But this review is making me at least think about getting back to it.

What are you reading in 2025?

Enjoyed Hardwired back in the day, I believe I've got a hard copy around here waiting for a re-read. Agree that it's more cyber punky than most of the other canon (Snowcrash, Sprawl trilogy, Marîd Audran trilogy (When Gravity Fails etc)). Or maybe it's Metropolitan... Also, there's this...

What are you reading in 2025?

Read while camping the first in Margery Allingham's Albert Campion novels, The Black Dudley Murder, which in the UK was published as The Crime at the Black Dudley. The UK title is actually more interesting once one finishes the novel because Interesting thing about this one, it was not told...

RPG CROWDFUNDING NEWS – Pets & Sidekicks, Righteous Vow, ENGRAM, and more

Interested in Sapphire Seas. I don't always like seafaring adventures, but I do like island adventures, go figure. I haven't pulled the trigger on Shadowdark, as I've already got a dozen OSRs sitting on my dead tree and virtual shelves. I assume however that I could run it any given system...

What are you reading in 2025?

Finished Margery Allingham's first mystery novel The White Cottage. It was fun for a 1925 book, and relatively racism free. The sexism I guess I'm more willing to let slide due to Allingham's own gender. The mystery itself was cute Now reading two graphic novels: Under Ninja vol 1 and Hexagon...
