    Wizard question?

Yep. From the WWDDGD adventure pregens: AC/F/R/W Wizard: 14/11/14/15 Rogue: 15/12/15/13 Cleric: 16/14/12/16 Human Fighter: 19/17/15/12 <----- I don't have the Dwarf Fighter around. But each of these has at least one defense 3 lower than their AC. The human fighter has all at least 2 lower...

    Wizard question?

They seem to have the short end, but remember one thing. The Wizard (and Implement powers in general) attack Reflex/Fort/Will defenses, while Weapon powers generally attack AC. R/F/W defenses are usually a couple points below AC, so the difference is actually balanced out pretty well.

D&D 4E Heavy Concrete Data on 4e's Skill Challenge System (long, lots of tables)

From Kieth Baker, the problem isn't quite as big as we're making it seem. This is because the party isn't expected to succeed (fully) on every skill challenge. http://gloomforge.livejournal.com/11638.html?thread=198518#t198518

    Endurance

All that said... Endurance as a skill - 1d20+(1/2 level)+(Con)+(5 if trained) Con check - 1d20+(1/2 level)+(Con) The only difference between the two is that you can be trained in Endurance. Honestly, I see it as a fair house rule to have Endurance just be a Con check. When untrained, that's...

    Half-Elf abilities

Ah, that makes more sense for the Ranger power. Thanks. I'm guessing that it was put on the wrong sheet as well, since Rhiardon doesn't have it. As for the Healing Strike, it is a Cleric Attack 1. I don't think this has anything t do with being a half elf, or any sort of multiclass thing...

    Half-Elf abilities

...I keep seeing this (in reference to additional powers beyond the "at-will as an encounter" power), so I checked it myself... The XP warlock has no Ranger feature. They don't get Hunter's Quarry, they get Warlock's Curse (admittedly similar). They get the ability Prime Shot, but this is not...

D&D 4E How would 4E improve my game?

I still don't see the bling, honestly. (Except for the various magical trinkets on the mage, I suppose. Though magical trinkets and fetishes should be pretty standard for a mage.) Though I can see how the angular designs of the dwarven armour in pics 2 and 3 could be seen as jewels or...

D&D 4E How would 4E improve my game?

Exactly. While the dungeon-punk aspect is as much there as it was in 3e, the "bling" you mentioned doesn't seem to be. As Mustrum said, everything about Dwarves is going to be based around hard angles. From their armour to their facial features. I know that won't appeal to everyone...

D&D 4E How would 4E improve my game?

While it does expect it, it shouldn't be necessary. Aside from weapon, armour, and neck/shoulders for defenses, nothing gives flat bonuses any more. Additional magic items give options instead. But options don't increase the overall power level of a game, and thus aren't completely necessary...

D&D 4E How would 4E improve my game?

Very true. I mean, with D&D's emphasis on magic and magic items, most of those would have a difficult time being done in d20 without turning to Iron Heroes. Except the Lady of the Lake, who could be easily done, since she's not a PC. But do Conan in 3e. Let's make him level 10. He has a...

D&D 4E How would 4E improve my game?

Neither does Lance of Faith. It's a half-decent ranged radiant attack. Being radiant damage, though, it's best used on undead. It's a very similar power, really.

D&D 4E How would 4E improve my game?

    1) Somewhat, but so did Searing Light and Flame Strike in 3e. Think of Lance of Faith as analogous to Searing Light. 2) It will be complete enough to play, for sure. There are definitely going to be some things that won't appear until later, but it will be a full playable game with the core 3...

    D&D 4E Dark Sun Conversion to 4E

If I might suggest a solution for defiling? Every Wizard gets the following ability: Defile - Wizard Utility 1 At-Will * Arcane Free Action - Personal Effect: The next spell you cast gets a +2 on the attack roll, and a +2 on damage. Additionally, all plant life within 2 squares of you is...

    Dispel Magic

I don't think a higher-level version is even necessary. The attack roll scales along with the enemy's Will Defense.

    Dispel Magic

You're right. Including the casting information, it was 140. Text of the spell alone: 129. Nope, not 120 at all.
