    OGL Cloning 4e?

Between the SRD, Unearthed Arcana, the open content in Iron Heroes and Book of X Might (as well as open content available from many other sources), I think a viable 4e-Clone SRD could be created in order to use the OGL. It wouldn't be easy, but it could be done with a dedicated team of volunteers.

    Mike Mearls On the OGL

. You know -- as long as there is sidebar text indicating major deviations from the old 3.5 ruleset, it shouldn't be a big problem. The difficulty in the change from 3.0 to 3.5 is that there were so many changes, and the documentation of those changes was not user friendly at all.

    Mike Mearls On the OGL

Considering that there was enough OGL material put out that is similar to the current 4e rules, it might be too soon to count out the OGL. I still expect an OGL 4e clone to be cobbled together out of any and all open material that resembles, but pre-dates, elements of the 4e system.

First 3rd Party Product available already...

From what I've seen, the GG product is a rules-free Gazetteer.

Fluff: Paizo vs 4e Monster Manual

The Pathfinder goblins are a thing of (horrid) beauty.

Nostalgic for basic D&D or AD&D?

Do you have a link to Gary officially endorsing C&C? Just curious. Obviously, he worked on material for TLG that was ported to C&C, and before that, D&D 3.0.

How to get a lot of minis on the cheap?

If you don't mine getting minis that are smaller than the current standard size, you can buy lots of fantasy miniatures from Mega Minis. They are unpainted, however. http://www.megaminis.com/

Nostalgic for basic D&D or AD&D?

Troll Lords has a booklet for "Starsiege" in our Free RPG Day box. It also uses the "SIEGE engine" rules that C&C uses. I think that BD&D/AD&D/OD&D really have as much if not more material being produced to support them. However, most of that stuff is for free and fan-made. I'll be...

    Smudges - All Core books

What exactly are you countering? I never said my 3.5 did or didn't smudge.

(Poll) Will the DDI delay influence your 4e purchases?

It didn't affect my purchasing decision because I knew it wouldn't be ready.

Your conclusion is wrong. Just because you haven't encountered the issue doesn't meant that it doesn't exist.

Is 4E still D&D to you?

It's a good game that I enjoy playing, but I don't really think of it as Dungeons & Dragons. Not any more than I would see any of the slew of loosely-based D&D fantasy games as D&D.

    Smudges - All Core books

We were all very disappointed by the KotS print quality, so it's great news that it has been noticed by WotC. I was also a little miffed by all the page creases in my gift set, but I'll deal with it. I really don't want to incur shipping charges and extra paperwork for my FLGS just to send it back.

    Core Handbook Errors Discussion

I'm going to put up a link to my thoughts on multiclass weirdness here. This might be another example of a rules misinterpretation on the part of the reader (me) or simply a rules disagreement, but it seems glaring enough to me that I think it might be the result of some last minute changes not...

    Smudges - All Core books

No smudges yet in mine -- but that may be because of how I handle them, remembering how easily my 3.0 PHB smudged. However, I've had a big problem with page wrinkles/creases from the books in my gift set.

    Multiclass Feat Weirdness?

Yeah, I thought about this, but given the seeming wonkiness of the multiclass rules, I think it's equally possible that the rules just missed a slew of revision before press.

    Multiclass Feat Weirdness?

OK -- I'm having trouble understanding multiclass feats. Every time I re-read over them, it seems like this section doesn't quite fit in with the rest of the book. For example, underneath the Class-Specific Feats subheader on page 209, it mentions that taking the Cleric multiclass feat will...
