How will you read the core books day one?

The store I work for *should* be getting them in on Wednesday before the release date. Of course, we can't sell them or let them leave the store, but if it's allowed, I'll be at the store that day reading the books there. I'll be interested in the DM stuff the most -- how encounters are set up...

WotC officials: we want MINIS for the modules!

I've never bought a pack of random D&D miniatures, and I probably never will. As long as I don't know what I'm getting for my $15, I'd rather buy some Reaper figs or Warhammer models and paint them quick and dirty. I'd love to see module related packs of miniatures.

    PHB errors and reprint schedule

Ha! No way in any of the nine hells. This is the REAL WotC circa 2008 ... though I'm not really sure I'd leave Geezer in the photo for that one. And if you think that comparing the current WotC PR style to Baghdad Bob is the same as comparing WotC to an entire murderous government, well...

    D&D 4E DCC 4e Covers

The lay-out and the art on the covers looks great -- except for the header. The DCC logo is messy and doesn't really evoke any kind of "Dungeons & Dragons" feeling. Hopefully, it isn't too late for them to change this part of the design. As for looking toward a 2e feel instead of a 1e feel --...

Barbarian will it be the only illiterate class again

3.5 Barbarian is sad because he can't read this thread. 3.5 Barbarian doesn't want to spend 2 skill points.

    Fight On! Magazine

This is what I was thinking as well. While I love LuLu, a little DIY elbow grease still goes a long way. If the publisher wanted to and had the time, they could print out 30 or so copies at their local copy shop and either have them staple bound like a magazine right there or do it themselves...

Goodman Game Sale. What are you going to buy?

Same here. 20% through a B&M isn't a bad deal, but you need to account for the sales tax you'll be paying as well, just as when ordering online you have to include the S&H for the true price of the product.

    D&D 4E Got to play 4E today

Thank you for this post, Thulcondar. As someone who played BECMI/AD&D1e/AD&D2e for years without a single miniature, I can understand where you're coming from on the matter.

    Here's the new d20 logo

Kick-ass. I'd like a ringer T-Shirt with that on the front as an iron-on, please. But only if it has glitter.

    Here's the new d20 logo

Wow -- that's a pretty brave logo. I love it, but I can see why many people would not.

D&D 4E My First 4E Game: Disappointing. Yours? (UPDATED with player feedback)

I just want to thank you for your honest and unbiased post on the matter. The details inspire more fear in places I was already fearful, and more hope in places I was already hopeful.

    Nice one, Pozas

Forgive my density, but is this a reactionary/inspired image to counter/complement the new WAR adventurer vs. green dragon art? Because, if it is, then that makes it even cooler.

Huge Cover Images from CNET article

I like the nod to the Cook Expert set on the DMG cover. And, as I've said before, I like WAR -- but I don't like this PHB cover. I still wish they were using his adventurers vs. the green dragon piece. Oh well. I didn't like the 3e core book covers, either.

Why do all Privateer Press Minis suck so much?

I had the same problem with some of the Chainmail miniatures. Luckily for me, after scraping layers upon layers of hardened super glue off of my fingertips, I no long have fingerprints.
