    One miiiilllliiiooon dollars!

I got charged by Amazon for both my Kickstarter pledges for OOTS. One for me, a book and some extras, and once for my daughter, Swag pack #1. Over $110 total.

    Damn it! Han shot first!!!!

The dying sentence and the carbonite sentence were independent of each other. Obviously, Han lived after his carbonite prison. There are better ways to vent than to spew hateful vitriol. Look it up.

    Damn it! Han shot first!!!!

After reading through this thread, I have to say I kinda agree with Dire Bear on this one. I really don't understand the whole "ruined my childhood" thing or how some people are so angrily fired up that he tweaked on his own movies over the years. Yea, some of the changes sucked. But...

    One miiiilllliiiooon dollars!

Aaaaaand. He changed it. :) In the last update (just minutes ago), he moved the line down to $1,250,000 with a note "(Which was always here)" admitting his boo boo in putting it at $1,260,000 on the previous update image. And under the image he added: So we get Mystery Prize #9!

    One miiiilllliiiooon dollars!

Unless he typed it in the update at 1,250,000 and removed it, then maybe, but looking at the graph (and the update) it clearly shows 1,260,000.

    One miiiilllliiiooon dollars!

Absolutely unbelievable. Congrats, Rich! Halfway through, it looked like he would hit maybe 700K, assuming a drop off near the end. A few days ago, it appeared as though he would fall about 75K shy of 1M. To think that he busted the 1M mark by 250K is breathtaking. It actually accelerated...

Savage Worlds - do you tweak how skills work?

We were all SW newbies when we played our first Deadlands game, though we were all D&D veterans. Snapping the D&D paradigm proved to be tough with character creation, so I gave all my players a few mulligans to massage their PCs after the first couple of sessions. The second time around, they...

"Order of the Stick" Kickstarter shatters records, about to top $500K

In the past 2 1/2 hours it has made 10K, so with only a bit more than 76K left to go, the $1M target is well within reach.

Players: Do you wear/carry "props" to the game?

I've worn a black t-shirt with a flaming d20 on it, but that is as far as we go. I think if I showed up at a new game with everyone dressed as wizards and barbarians and elves I would get freaked out and maybe vomit a little in my mouth. But I like Umbran's idea of a ten-gallon hat for the...

"Order of the Stick" Kickstarter shatters records, about to top $500K

As of this moment, with exactly 66 hours left, it's calculated out to $1,002,656. Man, we're going to need have to be a huge last 12 hour push because it will have a dip coming nighttime!

"Order of the Stick" Kickstarter shatters records, about to top $500K

Can you extend a Kickstarter project? I thought you were locked into the timeframe once you set it in motion.

"Order of the Stick" Kickstarter shatters records, about to top $500K

Looks like he just hit the $850K mark. This with 3 days, 22 hours left to go. At this rate, he could hit top 3. I believe my prediction was 650K-700K, but I expected a drop off in rate of climb. It actually looks like it's accelerated.

Social Skills, starting to bug me.

I know you didn't mean anything offensive about this, but it did come across as a little callous, or someone who doesn't know Aspergers. It's an autism spectrum disorder, and if you have a child or family member with it, it can be a challenge. We are concerned my daughter has it... How do...

What do you feed your dog(s)?

Unfortunately, we are moving out of our huge home into something more reasonable. We have talked about a puppy... we like big dogs, but our Darwin did produce a MASSIVE amount of hair - a Furminator brush proved it. If we rent a townhouse, what decent sized dog will proved us what awe are...

    Getting rid of "Taking 10"

I am torn about this one. When I am troubled with a programming issue and a spend unpressured time to attempt to solve the problem, I suppose I do it at the maximum level of my skill in that. That's taking 20. But if I am asked to solve a problem where there is not an immediate pressure...

    BSG in Portlandia

That show (BSG) owned me for a long time. :) I just recently bought the whole thing on Blu-Ray. I think I am due another run through.

D&D 5E (2014) D&D Next Blog - Wizards Like to Roll Dice Too

OK. me? For SKILLS, I used taking 10 or taking 20 against inanimate objects or unintelligent animals. But if it's against any semi-intelligent creature I would find a way to make it opposed. But these situations get weird from table to table because of the whole Social vs. non-Social skills...

    new mearls interview?

I don't know Grazzt. It sounds creepy and very undead-like. "EEEERRR-----IIIIIIIIII"

    Getting rid of "Taking 10"

So actually, that lift gate or bash door check should say: "I takes at least 220lbs of force to try to open/lift, and 350lbs to auto succeed." So he'd roll if a single PC's strength gives them an auto 250lb check, but if helped by someone adding in 100lb STR, then why roll? And I like it. So...

So that would then be pronounced... "err-in" or "er-iiii" since there's no trailing n.
