Valley of the Dead: Chapter 1 "A gathering of heroes"

Sensalar shakes his head in disgust, momentarily clearing the silver hair hanging limply before his eyes from long days of traveling. "So the rumors are true," he whispers to himself. "and the taint has touched beyond the warriors of this fair land to drive the good people to contemplate exile."...

    Music-Inspired Insanity OOC [3.5, CLOSED]

made the changes (just added a + 1 to studded leather took an extra 150 gold to bring it up to masterwork first then add the + 1 enchantment and dropped touch AC by 1 but basically left the mechanics alone). I'm just used to adding the magical +1 because tabletop we play that way to keep items...

    Music-Inspired Insanity OOC [3.5, CLOSED]

Ok, well sorry it took so long, been a busy week already. Anyway, I resisted my corniest impulses and avoided the Hammer expert named Maxwell and Bungalow Bill the ranger and instead went with Twi'Tar "Monkeyman" Alexa (Hadozee ship-name) Twi'Tar Alexa (Hadozee ship-name) "the Monkeyman"...

    Music-Inspired Insanity OOC [3.5, CLOSED]

alright so I have a whole list (about 50 or so) possible character concepts based on musical characters or song references but three quick questions, urban or rural setting (mainly), just to clarify, if using a non-standard race are we adding racial hit dice to ECL (I wasn't sure since the...

    The Troubadour's Travels - Low Magic [D&D 3.5/G'n'GR] [Recruiting]

Sorry, I misread it, I thought for poor progressions it followed the standard RAW, and only improved good saves, but that's actually better thanks. I'm alos thinking dodge for the class feature since they eventually get a progression that is an improving version of the dodge feat anyway and in...

Troubadour's Travels - Setting and Characters

    alright I went Rogue/Swash instead, since I think you already have two ranged and one is a scout combo. Doral Doral Sex:Male Age:16 Race/Class:Human (Sabrian but raised in Thalamar)/ Rogue: 1/Swashbuckler: 1 Strength:8 (-1) Dexterity:16 (+3) Constitution:12 (+1) Intelligence:14 (+2)...

    Dungeonaday campaign/freeform combat playtest [PFRPG][OOC]

I agree, if a group is willing to do things kinda freeform and at the DMs discretion a bit it's definitely easier, that's just a non-mapped interpretation of a map board honetly (with less possible directions) We always had one or two hard core rules brokers being difficult about DM "cheating"...

    Dungeonaday campaign/freeform combat playtest [PFRPG][OOC]

Alright, I looked guys and basically we were using an right compass point system as though using an aerial view and north was forward to describe things locations with distances in five foot increments (ie: This person is approximately ten feet south-east of you, a tree is twenty feet north and...

    The Troubadour's Travels - Low Magic [D&D 3.5/G'n'GR] [Recruiting]

umm, he's in the last post *L* but I put him in the char thread pending the class ability decision (if weapon finesse with lt weapons is a house rule can I trade it off for something since it's the swashbuckler level 1 ability) If everything looks alright I can start whenever just let me know :)

    The Troubadour's Travels - Low Magic [D&D 3.5/G'n'GR] [Recruiting]

alright I went Rogue/Swash with the alternate rules later instead, since I think you already have two ranged and one is a scout combo. Doral Doral Sex:Male Age:16 Race/Class:Human (Sabrian but raised in Thalamar)/ Rogue: 1/Swashbuckler: 1 Strength:8 (-1) Dexterity:16 (+3)...

DnD 3.5 - Valley of the Dead

totally agree, I always treat it as a guide not a rule, even the fervent holy warrior can be tempted and even the skeleton slinging necromancer thinks he has good reason for his actions and might even be a decent guy to get to have a beer with (probably easier to hang out with than most paladins)*L*

    Dungeonaday campaign/freeform combat playtest [PFRPG][OOC]

I'm not promising, but I can dig around a bit and may be able to help you guys. My friends and I used to use a mapless system in high school to play when we were at camp (it was easier for various reasons). I don't know if any of it could be of use but I'll see if it's still in the attic...
