For fighting dragons, I would choose firearms. But legend has it the much-maligned spiked armour is effective.

Ghosts of Saltmarsh functions just as well in the Forgotten Realms. Any collection of generic fantasy adventures works as well in any generic fantasy setting. The more recent adventures have mostly been setting-agnostic, I expect that to continue.
