I only played the game once but had fun, which in the end, should be a top criteria for determining if any game is "good". I agree with the other responses that the combat is lethal but I wonder why people are always quick to say how horrible a thing that is.

Hopefully this is the right place to list this... There was a thread in the general discussion forum maybe a month ago that had to do with Magic the Gathering and why there was never an RPG product combining it with DnD... Could someone track that down for me??? thanks in advance...

Over the last three years ago, I've played 99% of the time on Sat. But all those people had/have mon-fri jobs... Nobody works retail so that makes a regular stable schedule possible.

I cannot agree more. Specifically about the feats. I often hear people ask in a DnD style game, "what feat should I take next?" There are a good handful of feats from spycraft that could easily translate into a fantasy setting. Regardless of that, I like how there's a good number of them that...

Names and their meanings is one of my favorite subjects. I've used a couple names over and over again for my own characters: Andrephan T'signotcha I usually get asked from friends and family to create names for pets and stuff animals so somtimes I come up with a good one and sometimes not so...

Pretty much the same for me... Except the last few sessions we had I did this a little more. But that might be a byproduct of us using minis more often. I'm also a stat freak which comes from my love for baseball. So I guess the it would logically translate to DnD stats at some point.

I'm wondering how much DMs pre-plan their homebrew campaigns. Specifically, before the campaign begins the first session. I remember reading the Dungeoncraft articles that basically said only prepare what you need. However, I'm curious to hear what others did and how it worked out looking back...
