    Looking for players in Lorain County area of Ohio

    I live in LaGrange... and the other two people who currently are in the group both live in Elyria... In the past we've played in LaGrange and Elyria. I'd like to think we're somewhat flexible although we have a plan to play at whoever is the DM of-the-moment. If you have any other questions...

    Looking for players in Lorain County area of Ohio

    I'm looking to add 1-3 people to an existing group to play D&D, spycraft/d20 modern and whatever else might peeked our collective interest... In the past we've operated with a schedule that has 2 DMs rotating campaigns every two weeks to keep things fresh... I've posted before since moving...

    Well, my campaign's kaput! {update: not so kaput anymore}

    Wow... Well I guess I'll have to considered myself told. How could I possibly respond to that? You have so many more posts than I do even though everyone says post count doesn't mean. Except... My posts, all 80 something, are on a range of subjects... And I try to not divide people unlike yours...

    Well, my campaign's kaput! {update: not so kaput anymore}

    diaglo, how many of your 3,672 posts would you say have basically said you've played since the beginning and the rest of us are nothing more than infidels for playing versions other than the orginal??? 50%??? 75%??? 99.9999999%???

    D500 Screen name= plot devices

    AlphaOmega: A celestial who was rumored to be around since the world's creation and will be around when doomsday comes... But until then, he/she/it cannot be bothered with doing anything... Maybe in some sort of stasis... A plot hook could be some cult or "colorful" individual believes breaking...

    Homebrew Worlds- What is in YOUR world?

    The Prydelands: Basically a world I've worked on and off for years. A former player summed it up as "Planet of the Apes, except with lions" which I can't really argue with. Humans and some other standard races are slaves at best and more often treated as food. There are various lion-liked races...

    Wwe Raw 1/26/2004

    nice to see some solid wrestling commentary... I've watched on and off, mostly on, since '96... this is somewhat sidetrack from monday's events... but what I'll always remember about the whole Steph/HHH saga was when they renewed their vows and H turned... the look of scorn on Steph's face was...

    Riddle of Steel...Any Good?

    I only played the game once but had fun, which in the end, should be a top criteria for determining if any game is "good". I agree with the other responses that the combat is lethal but I wonder why people are always quick to say how horrible a thing that is.

    Cleveland (west-side)

    I'm still looking... come ENWorld... I've looked in the past for help in the area and was 2 for 2 in finding new players... If you have any questions, don't hesistate to ask...

    Need help with a search

    Hopefully this is the right place to list this... There was a thread in the general discussion forum maybe a month ago that had to do with Magic the Gathering and why there was never an RPG product combining it with DnD... Could someone track that down for me??? thanks in advance...

    What day(s) of the week do you game?

    Over the last three years ago, I've played 99% of the time on Sat. But all those people had/have mon-fri jobs... Nobody works retail so that makes a regular stable schedule possible.

    Where have you been all my life? (Spycraft)

    I cannot agree more. Specifically about the feats. I often hear people ask in a DnD style game, "what feat should I take next?" There are a good handful of feats from spycraft that could easily translate into a fantasy setting. Regardless of that, I like how there's a good number of them that...

    X-COM and D20 Modern

    I'm gonna have to check out some of the links posted in this thread. X-com is probably my favorite PC game of all time. I can't drive past a farm and not think of this game.

    Choices, choices....

    Maybe because its the beginning of the year, but I'd say go back to basics and run a standard game. Sometimes, I feel us DMs try to outthink ourselves and forget why we started playing in first place. A standard campaign doesn't mean it lacks creativity. Plus you spent $$$ on the minis -- get...

    Names - What are the best you've used or heard?

    Names and their meanings is one of my favorite subjects. I've used a couple names over and over again for my own characters: Andrephan T'signotcha I usually get asked from friends and family to create names for pets and stuff animals so somtimes I come up with a good one and sometimes not so...

    Revealing monster secrets to the Players (after the battle)

    Pretty much the same for me... Except the last few sessions we had I did this a little more. But that might be a byproduct of us using minis more often. I'm also a stat freak which comes from my love for baseball. So I guess the it would logically translate to DnD stats at some point.

    How much do you prepare for a homebrew?

    thanks for the responses and votes so far... keep em coming... I've probably run the spectrum in preparing for campaigns thru the years so its nice to hear stories and maybe pick up a few ideas to make it a smoother process.

    How much do you prepare for a homebrew?

    I'm wondering how much DMs pre-plan their homebrew campaigns. Specifically, before the campaign begins the first session. I remember reading the Dungeoncraft articles that basically said only prepare what you need. However, I'm curious to hear what others did and how it worked out looking back...
