GenCon 2022 Draws Over 50,000 Attendees

This is where the free parking and the general driveability of Madison comes in handy. You CAN certainly stay at a connected hotel, but you don't HAVE to. You can stay across town, or even out of town, drive 20 minutes and be at the con with no issue. It's the advantage of a smaller con.

GenCon 2022 Draws Over 50,000 Attendees

GameholeCon is a nice little con with a lot to offer! Lots of D&D, cool guests, a decent if modest dealer hall and FREE PARKING, so you can stay anywhere in town or out and drive in without any issues whatsoever. I'd love to go back more, but its timing conflicts with a work thing, so it's a...

GenCon 2022 Draws Over 50,000 Attendees

I attended along with my 15 year old son (his first GenCon!). It was busy without being overwhelming. 2019 felt just a little too big, but this year was a nice balance of a lot of gamers AND some space in the dealer hall. Plus I can now say with excitement that this was the first GenCon that...

    D&D 5E (2014) Radiant Citadel's Credits Page

Whenever I look at these author/credits pages, I just really want to see a credit for "Rules Lawyer." Just once.

Dragonlance Dragonlance's Margaret Weis & Tracy Hickman Are Suing WotC for Breach of Contract

I don't think English proficiency would help; it doesn't seem like WOTC gave any reason for the cancellation. It's hard to tell why they did it, but it does sound like W&H will be getting paid for their work.

D&D 5E (2014) Kobold Press (and are they the new Paizo?)

I would back their Kickstarter in a heartbeat if I could get the Pocket Edition on day one. I love their pocket editions.

RPG Evolution: The Plastic Ancestry of the Rust Monster

Judging by my parents' shopping habits, I'm guessing it came in a cheap tube of creatures purchased from K-Mart. That was our go-to store as a kid.

Me too! Still don't know where it came from!

    Pathfinder 2E TRAILseeker Winding Down

That's unfortunate. It's not easy to judge why certain things get traction and others don't. But I wish you better luck on your next endeavor!

Games That Changed How We Play

It's not just about the relationships, but it builds the relationships into the game, which makes for a much richer experience and game for the players and GM alike.

Games That Changed How We Play

The Smallville RPG is indeed underrated. The relationship/plot map creation aspect of character creation should be stolen and used by every role-playing game. It is truly genius.

It's Not A Cartoon, But What Is It?

Honestly the cryptic looks like it came straight from a Gravity Falls end scene. Great show my son got me hooked on, AND they played a D&D analogue in one episode!

Pathfinder 2E Paizo News Update: 2E Gets a Release Date! 1E Celebration Sale; Tyrant's Grasp for Pathfinder and Da

True, JD. But I think if they give me 300 monsters, I can run enough adventures to be pretty happy for a while. At least until the APs start adding more!

Pathfinder 2E Paizo News Update: 2E Gets a Release Date! 1E Celebration Sale; Tyrant's Grasp for Pathfinder and Da

The first Bestiary had 250 monsters in 320 pages. Bestiary 2e has 300 monsters in 360 pages. I don't think they cut anything. They just added more!
