That was the intent, which can prove frustrating when people just glance at the weapons tables and automatically judge the system as underpowered without looking at the whole package. It follows the philosophy of 5E where the class carries the power more than the weapon.

Alas, being my age, I remember working in retail stores and car shops where it was very acceptable by the male managers. I'm not saying it was right. Far from.

It's a dated term. At one point, it was acceptable. Not any longer.

The issue is cost and access. I have tried to acquire a few IPs, and in almost every case they have either been astronomically expensive or the IPs holders weren't willing to deal.
