Funny. I'm the opposite. I think people want their heroes to be something we aren't, as a group. Relating to these more makes them less like heroes, imo.

My wife and I really enjoyed this. Much deeper than I expected. It was fun.

Played for the third time tonight, but the first time for two players. People really seem to like the system a lot. We did a one shot, level five, so I let them use catch your breath during combat as an action, since they had no magic or potions. Seemed to work well.
