    Freedom of Movement

I guess that's okay, it doesn't prevent the guy from holding onto you, it just makes him easier to carry! :) I wish the spell had a better discription.

When your significant other resents gaming

My wife complains when she doesn't have anything to do that particular Saturday night, and if I'm not planning on gaming she'll say "Are you playing Saturday, I was going to have my sister over to watch movies". Any pasttime is a cause for complaint in any marriage, D&D isn't any different...

Blowing up magic items, yes or no?

... which only functions for CE Dwarves with red hair within 100ft of this tower where the evil bad CE red haired dwarf lives. I like breaking PC's magic items. But when I do I usually roll in front of them.

The Idea of training to level

Personally I like month long treks into the wilderness without returning. I like to focus on slaying my enemies and sometimes it seems a bit OOC to say "we need to leave the hive of pure evil so I can learn whirlwind before coming back" If you play the campaign as a series of smaller...

    Freedom of Movement

I'm going to shamelessly bump again because I still don't have an answer. I don't want to screw the player over, but at the same respects I don't think it should be a get out of jail free card for grappling either. Where is the line drawn?

    Freedom of Movement

*shamelss bump* Perhaps I should ask if freedom of movement causes me to drop to the bottom of the ocean or if flaming and frost stack! :) THEN I'd get people to read and have an opinion. Freedom of Movement Abjuration Level: Clr 4, Drd 4, Luck 4, Pal 4, Rgr 4 Components: V, S, M, DF...

    Fireball and Bows

If you roll a 1 on a damaging saving throw you run the risk of damaging an item. It's in the PHB under saving throws I think?

d20 Rules for running estates ??

If the PC's ever own a plot of land or a town, etc I'm going to assign them all stats like a character has. Except instead of str, dex, con, etc it'll be loyalty, wealth, infrastructure, etc. A 10 wealth would be average wealth for it's size.

    To kill a troll

Once someone is unconcious and it's not battle I just switch to RP mode. IE, they'll start groaning and give the PC's a chance to whack them again instead of just standing up and immediately starting to attack with only 3hp left or something. I also don't make CDG and issue really, but it's...

    Freedom of Movement

It'll at least give you no penalty, but I don't know if you could still get stuck to the floor.

    Freedom of Movement

It has to do something, but I don't think it allows you to just run away. Walls impede movment, but freedom of movement doesn't affect that. You can move through water fine, but you can't just run out of a cage that is trapping you. Is grappling more like a cage or more like water?

    Freedom of Movement

Well, at least we're all in agreement! :) What's the sages email?

    Dragon Index

I found it. Select Dragon magazine as the source and it should show you. It's only done up to Jan 02, so the last 8 months aren't in it.

    Dragon Index

I could have sworn there was one at the Wizards site. Did you check there or only fan sites?

    Freedom of Movement

What, if anything, does freedom of movement or the travel domain do for you if grappled? I don't think it'd let you escape, but would it let you cast spell with somatic components? We have a halfling cleric with the travel domain in our group and he got snatched into the dragons mouth. I...

Would I allow it? Yes! But I'd also be more prone to sunder it!

Anything with natural HD doesn't have a favored class. Their favored class for Multiclassing is basically their monstrous humanoid HD.

How to describe Strider's combat on Weathertop

Once he was outside they mentioned that everything was a bit fuzzier or something to that effect. I assume it's different once the ring started actively searching for his master instead of trying to remain hidden.

How to describe Strider's combat on Weathertop

Well, plenty of times in the book they said things like "It's not our time to fight each other yet" only more poetically. It could be that it wasn't time for Aragorn to confront the Nazgul, I mean they obviously knew that "no man would slay him".
