    Online Character Builder is LIVE!

Ooooh, shiny. Looks very nice. I'm just building a Dark Sun character for fun, and you can now sort the class list by: - Role - Power Source - Primary Ability - Source Quite unexpected, I must say. Thumbs up. Minor bug: when choosing a theme, it automatically scrolls to the bottom of...

RITUALS will be officially modified :)

In Character Builder Classic, using the Character Viewer: Options -> Show Normal Item Cards. Now you've got ritual cards with the basic descriptions, although the ritual costs aren't displayed. Am I the only one who's aware of this?

    D&D 4E He-Man in 4e

Wow. Great picture. "You must spread some Experience Points around before giving it to Klaus again." Looks like you've been ninja'd, btw. :)

(WotC Podcast 11/9) Monster Vault II & web-based DDI

Sounds like the Threats to the Nentir Vale MV.

    Do you DDI?

That, and/or getting their reading fix with the Dragon and Dungeon magazines. ;)

    Wizards.com/dnd website down

Just tried it with Opera, sadly that doesn't work. Yet my English-language Firefox works fine. (Oh, the mysteries of IT.^^)

    Do you DDI?

That figure is just an estimation, and if I'm not mistaken it's estimated revenue, not profits. And to add to ardoughter's comment, IMO we're still dealing with the repercussions from the Gleemax disaster in this case. Budget cuts, a small staff, management being wary (or even overcautious)...

    Do you DDI?

Oh, that's right, my bad. So it's "people working for WotC", not employees. ;-) Seriously, WotC should pay you for your good work.

    Do you DDI?

I've been a subscriber for 2 years, and my sub runs at least another year. From past comments of WotC employees (IIRC Trevor and/or mudbunny) the DDI group consists of DDI subscribers who also have a WotC forum account, so this group is (much?) smaller than the number of actual subscribers.

What's up with www.wizards.com/dnd these days?

I suspect it's an issue with localized browsers. In my case, Opera in German gives me an error page, whereas Firefox/Pale Moon in English displays the DnD page correctly.

    Monster vault: I has it

He has a copyright on the "-inator" suffix, so yes, yes he does.

Changes Coming in Essentials, Part 2

Assassin (Bleak Disciple build). Half-orcs were good (or even iconic) assassins in AD&D 1e.

    D&D 4E 4E Elistraee

Eilistraee is dead in 4e. IIRC she died in a novel.

    Possible DDI News...

Sounds like they're updating the Compendium at the very least. That's good news to me.

D&D 4E 4E DMs: What setting are you currently using?

I voted homebrew hybrid. I'm running a campaign set in the default world ("PoLand"), at least 500 miles east of the Nentir Vale and 150 years after the Fall of Nerath.

    Heroes of the Forgotten Kingdoms

Expertise feats: - Is there one for holy symbols? - Is there such a thing as Versatile Expertise (or something similiar)? - What does Rod Expertise do?

    Wizards.com/dnd website down

Using Opera I end up at: http://www.wizards.com/DnD/Error.aspx?aspxerrorpath=/DnD/Default.aspx Firefox/Pale Moon works just fine, however.

    Gamma World: Our First Session

I ran a session of Gamma World today since only 2 out of 4 players of my regular D&D group had time to play. Character generation was as hilarious as playing the game itself. The party consisted of Spinaccio the felinoid plant (and Mafia member) and Big Bad Borszcz the giant doppelganger. They...

The Hexblade (Essentials Warlock) is up!

Rod Expertise has been confirmed in the recent podcast. The hexblade looks nice. I'm guessing that the star pact will have Int as a secondary.
