You must be misremembering. The 2e "Deck of ____ Spells" were complete sets from the start (with all spells from the PHB and Tome of Magic). No randomness, no boosters, no expansions etc. at all.

There's one case where I don't like the new DCs, starting with level 5 or 6: Untrained + dump stat + hard DC + no other mods = impossible to succeed. You'd need to roll a 21 or higher. :erm: I wonder if that's intentional. Intended or not, it does increase the importance of skill training feats.

I assume it's a typo (2 instead of 1) because the other MM1 ogres' damage values haven't been changed. It does bring his damage to MM3 levels, though. :)

With the exception of the deva, those races had the "exterminated in the past" label in the 2e box IIRC. I believe they added the deva to that list because of their divine background (as in, the gods are dead, so their servants are, too). I'm not really surprised that lizardfolk aren't...
