    Advise on assassin builds?

Well, she did start with Dex 17 at level 1.^^ But seriously, we're not hardcore optimizers in our groups, and as DM I help the players build their characters (if they want my advice ;)). I've also played characters with 16's in their primary and secondary stats just fine (elf fighter/mc rogue...

    Advise on assassin builds?

While I can't offer much in the way of advice, here's a drow assassin that was played in my campaign (using inherent bonuses): ====== Created Using Wizards of the Coast D&D Character Builder ====== Lelith, level 4 Drow, Assassin Guild Training: Night Stalker Darkfire: Darkfire Charisma...

Man, Lords of Madness are looking awesome!!

If I'm not mistaken, there are no wilden/kelloren and mul minis at all, whereas some old minis haven't seen reprints/repaints and are hard to get, e.g. treant, warforged titan, glabrezu, wererat, baaz and kapak draconians. Also, how about a Dark Sun-themed set? Just call it "Terrors of the...

Skill challenges - who else likes them as the core non-combat sub-system?

That's pretty much how I've been running them. Works very well for me. :)

An interesting tidbit about the Dark Sun Creature Catalog

The relevant tidbit: Now that's a nice present from the printer for us Dark Sun fans. :D In other news, I'm still waiting for the books to arrive here in Germany.

    Dark Sun art: Disappointed

Thanks. They look much more skinny and furry compared to the old art.

    Dark Sun art: Disappointed

A quick question for those who have the Creature Catalog: Which creature is this supposed to be? It's not the Athasian Sloth, or is it? (Picture 31 from the art gallery)

D&D 4E The still "complete" list of official 4E products, now with 2011!

FYI, Bart Carroll posted a list of new products, sorted by quarter, here: Gen Con D&D Preview

D&D 4E The still "complete" list of official 4E products, now with 2011!

Oh, I think I haven't expressed myself clearly. It's not that I'm not interested in the Neverwinter CG, I'm just not sure which format it will be in. I should have worded that better. My introduction to D&D was the Pool of Radiance computer game on the C64. Good times. :)

    Pre-Ravenloft Vampire Villains

Kas the Betrayer comes to mind, though I don't know if he appeared pre-Ravenloft.

D&D 4E The still "complete" list of official 4E products, now with 2011!

Yeah, that should be it. I'm not sure on the Neverwinter Campaign Guide myself; my guess is that it's a hardcover.

Here we go again: DM, player or both?

Now that the poll is live I can answer more clearly: I am mostly a player, but occasionally a DM. I'd like to DM more, so I hope that's going to change.

Here we go again: DM, player or both?

Except that there's no poll. :p Anyway, my answer is: both.

D&D 4E The still "complete" list of official 4E products, now with 2011!

I've just listened to the podcast of the D&D Preview at GenCon. According to Bill Slavicsek, only the Gazetteer and Heroes of Shadow books will be softcover, the rest will be hardcover (Player's Handbook, Emporium) or boxed sets. And they're planning a minis set for 2011.

Shadowfell Box set coming in 2011! (an other GenCon announcements)

To which I will add this from WotC at GenCon:

Shadowfell Box set coming in 2011! (an other GenCon announcements)

I'm very interested in Conquest of Nerath. Rules for mass combat, 4e-style? Awesome. :D The only letdown for me is no DDI announcements regarding Adventure Tools. *sigh*

Shadowfell Box set coming in 2011! (an other GenCon announcements)

It appeared in the WotC Spring 2011 catalog: Few wizards know more about magic than the mighty Mordenkainen, whose arcane achievements are without peer. He’s the Archmage of Adventure . . . and no stranger to unearthing hidden lore. Stand aside, Tenser! Back to the books, Otiluke! Few can match...
