    Of Huge Salamanders and Grappling

If the salamander wants to take -20 to it's grapple checks as is allowed by the improved grab ability, then it is not considered grappled and it can attack as such even though the grappled character is considered grappled. If the salamander wants to attack a creature with a longspear that is...

    Remnants of the Horde:Mount Zuregath

Bargo growls at the itchy gnome. "What you want him spell it for you? You say you help, get to it before Bargo help Bargo to you!"

    No More Mind's Eye :(

I wonder if they'll do a compilation like they did for christmas last year or the year before... So we can have a PDF of all the creative goodies they had before they take it offline.

    X-Men Legends

Danger Disks available at Healer's shop, number of Xtreme disks allowed, and number of potions are all based on the highest level in your party. By max level 45, you'll have 30 potions of each and rarely need to use any. :)

Death and the Fixing of It

Good Lord! I should fear to see what would be your 10 cents. ;) The reaction to a character death as a bother, instantly waiting for the next resurrection. The fact that allowing a character her eternal rest is the last option. The fact that by and large even organizations do not employ...

Death and the Fixing of It

That's along the lines of what I went with. I left in the original two options for free (or at least, core rules) resurrections at certain times or locations or by certain people, but added a pair of options for what happens if you attempt it in an anytime or anywhere situation. The other...

Death and the Fixing of It

I hate the Raise Dead mechanics as written. In all the story hours I've really enjoyed, in the D&D fiction I admire most, a death is an event to be mourned. But I find in my game it tends to just have my players complaining about the diamonds they are going to have to buy. I began to change...

    Figments of my Imagination

Yeah, if the init die has been rolled and spells are being cast, you watch a wizard cast Major Image, you spellcraft it reactively, and a big wall of stone suddenly shows up, I'd probably immediately allow the will save to disbelieve, give it a +4 bonus on top of that, and let the spellcaster's...

    Figments of my Imagination

Well in this particular instance I'm asking in the capacity of a player playing a low level illusionist trying to be of use to the party once combat starts. I got off a good illusion of a sergeant ordering our party into the base we needed to infiltrate, and a good illusion of a night raid of...

    Figments of my Imagination

I'd say yeah. At the point someone has had a reason to save, made the save, and communicated the fact that whatever they are looking at is not really there, at that point his allies should get the typical save at +4.

    Figments of my Imagination

Distractions I got. Out of combat I have lots of options. But once the init die is rolled all those options seem to disappear. Any smart uses of illusions that you can use in a combat scenario? Battlefield control looks like a good one, visibility hindrances are another, any other ideas...

    Figments of my Imagination

Definately. :) Fog, Blackness, and other visual impediments are great, especially if your party passes the save and they are willing to engage at range with weapons and spells and such. ... bump.

    Figments of my Imagination

The Silent Image, Minor Image, Major Image, Programmed Image, Permanent Image spell tree is very difficult to use properly in 3.5 and 3.0 D&D. The section on illusion magic in the magic chapter is very specific in what they can and cannot do any longer. Other illusion spells have numerous...

    Remnants of the Horde:Mount Zuregath

Bargo belches happily, licking the last tasty giblets of quivering flesh from his cracked, fire burned lips. The smile quickly fades as he is forced to look up at his damned father, standing in mid air, lording it over everyone. If only that magic would give out right now. Durgo would look...

    X-Men Legends

A secondary mutation is a second power they give to someone to make them interesting. For instance, Emma Frost, the one time White Queen of the Hellfire Club who never bothered to get a code name seperate from this, has telepathic abilities but no telekinesis to let her play with Betsy and...

    X-Men Legends

Plenty of people like him, that's why, good or no, they are going to have to put him in the sequel. And even with as weak as he turned out, they were still considering putting him in until the end. It's just a matter of, as he was written, he didn't have any powers. He could just fly. His...

    Remnants of the Horde:Mount Zuregath

Bargo stops stalking the hag-burger and mutters about how its always "Bargo do this, Bargo do that" but no food for Bargo as he starts climbing his way over to the platform the big stupid head wants Bargo to go to.
