I've wondered that myself. Despite my best efforts, participation has always been low. The most entries we've ever seen was in 2023, and it was still fewer than a dozen. The prizes are legit--real people do actually win real stuff--so maybe that's why people assume only "serious" entries...

Every time this subject comes up, you can count on me saying the same two things. EDIT: That's not to say I'm opposed to new stuff! This is just my response to all of the comments about what D&D "needs," or what Wizards of the Coast "needs" to do. "Need" is a very strong word.

It's not without its weaknesses, though. I don't have many ways to prevent abuse by bad actors and cheaters, for example, and the moderators have enough to do without babysitting this silly little poll. If things start getting out of hand, I'll probably have to come up with something else.
