New Unearthed Arcana Brings Back Five Subclasses

I'm still gonna call it the "Dronk" or "Drunk-Munk".

D&D General Initial Thoughts on the Two 2025 Forgotten Realms books

Yes! I'd hope that they'd also draw from older sources, in particular in ways that they skipped (unless it really should be skipped) when creating the material for OoA. They could do a zoom-in for Menzobarranzan, Gracklestugh, Blingdenstone, and throw in some stuff from BG3 or something new...

(5.24 PBP) Vault Redux (OOC) Fitz's Refresher

My count has it at 1:35 minutes, I think. So he's got 25 minutes, which should be more than enough for the hydra, I suspect.

(5.24 PBP) Vault Redux (OOC) Fitz's Refresher

Does everyone, pets and NPCs included? How many targets are we up to?

D&D General Initial Thoughts on the Two 2025 Forgotten Realms books

Ooh. That'd be cool. They love to reuse stuff that's appeared before, so they could start with the material in Out of the Abyss, and expand outward from there.

(5.24 PBP) Vault Redux (OOC) Fitz's Refresher

Thanks guys. I don't remember much of this (who has potions, etc) myself, and didn't want to have to look. Let's just say that "I concur with what is being discussed here".

D&D General Forgotten Realms Books Tables of Contents

They all are. I think the 2014 core will not recieve another print run, but there's still tons out there, and I'm not even talking about used ones!

D&D General Forgotten Realms Books Tables of Contents

No, it's not. The whole point of backwards compatibility was to keep selling existing books only the core 3 are oop, with Xanathars and Tashas on their way to it soon. MMoM will be in print for some time to come.

Circle Casting Details Revealed for Forgotten Realms: Heroes of Faerun

Yes. Looks like. But you could "Ready" helping the primary, if you go first and are a secondary caster. Helpful, but not necessary.

Circle Casting Details Revealed for Forgotten Realms: Heroes of Faerun

Honestly, looking at the full rules, I quite like it. It's power creep, to be sure, but it encourages cooperation in a nice way. It's actually rare that they introduce new subsystems that don't feel half-baked (I'm looking at you, Bastions!) It's nice to see one that works for me.

2024 D&D Core Rulebooks Off to "Strongest-Ever" Start for D&D Books

I'm not at the store now, but if people are interested, I could look up lifetime 2014 PHB (or other books) vs current 2024 PHB sales. Obviously, it won't reflect the industry as a whole (but then again, my store is generally pretty "average" - for a tiny store in a Canadian suburb).

    Iron DM 2025 Scheduling Thread!

It's kind of a case-by-case thing, isn't it? One thing I'd love to see: Two entries with the same ingredients where one is a zany romp and the other a dark horror or noir mystery!

D&D General Ben Riggs interviews Fred Hicks and Cam Banks, then shares WotC sales data.

Yup. That was the biggest reason for compatibility.

D&D 5E (2014) See Invisibility: awareness of Invisibility

In 3e you'd have a stack of them alright.

    IRON DM 2025 Tournament Thread

I know that I enjoy writing more when the internal author is a character in themselves. I could see that happening here.

    IRON DM 2025 Tournament Thread

That was an exciting round! Thanks to everyone involved for their efforts. It's all more work than it appears from the sidelines. I'm looking forward to the final round!

2024 D&D Core Rulebooks Off to "Strongest-Ever" Start for D&D Books

My notes, for my store, have the PHB outselling the other two core books (which are roughly equivalent) by between double and two-and-a-half, for the last four revisions. (I no longer have files from before that). This is for lifetime sales. Near release, they are closer to equivalent than...

D&D 5E (2014) See Invisibility: awareness of Invisibility

Oh, yeah. Wasn't that previously true?
  19. FitzTheRuke

D&D 5E (2014) See Invisibility: awareness of Invisibility

Sure they can. You'd just see invisible things AND the aura of magic (presumably including the illusion that caused the invisibility).

D&D 5E (2014) See Invisibility: awareness of Invisibility

Why not? It's a higher level spell that still won't be as useful as detect magic is.
