What's funny is that of the 10-12 people I know that play or played RPGS, all of them have played the WEG Star Wars game. Only two have played any form of DnD. Just my little anecdotal evidence. And I still vastly prefer d6 Star Wars to d20 Star Wars.

Sounds interesting now that I have free time and real life has less drama so I can actually focus on playing a game. Probably a Dwarven Cleric.

Fighting hopeless odds can be construed as heroics. Heroics lend themselves towards drama. I'm not saying it's the most thought out spaceship ever, but it's not a huge flaw to the show.
