D&D General Dark Sun as a Hopepunk Setting

Your parents failed you. Just kidding, of course! But this was IMPORTANT to me and my friends back in the 80s! No knock-off transforming robots for us! Even if Gobots where technically released first . . .

Paizo Ends Pathfinder Adventure Path Softcovers, Switching to Quarterly Model

It might be the standard, but big, beautiful, full-color RPG books are underpriced at $50-60. For RPG companies to make a more sustainable profit, they should be charging more. They often don't, because they know they will get this exact reaction. Prices are going up on everything for a variety...

D&D General Dark Sun as a Hopepunk Setting

What?!?! Gobots are what your parents bought you for Xmas or your birthday when they didn't understand what Transformers are! Mom! I wanted REAL Transformers!!!

Critical Role to Use D&D 2024 Rules For Campaign Four, Expands to Three Tables and Thirteen Players

If RPG money can purchase a small Caribbean island . . . that's pretty awesome! We've come a long way baby! :) Instead of "D&D in a Castle" . . . Mulligan is going to build a Caribbean RPG resort! Take my money!

D&D General Crochet, Coloring, & Journals: Upcoming D&D Books from Ten Speed Press

Holy crap! I generally don't buy journals . . . and you shouldn't purchase a book just because of the cover . . . But wow, that Hydro74 Venger piece is amazing!

Wizards of the Coast Releases Exodus TTRPG

I'm happy with the price vs page count too, but . . . shipping is $15 for the Encyclopedia. It's basically the full shipping cost, which we're not used to seeing these days . . .

Wizards of the Coast Releases Exodus TTRPG

    I'm hoping they add Exodus to D&D Beyond, but we'll see . . .

D&D's The Book of Dragons Comes Out in August

What I'd really love is to update ALL of the many dragon species introduced starting way back in the 2E days and through today. But that would be a BIG book of dragons . . .

D&D's The Book of Dragons Comes Out in August

I agree with some of the other posts here . . . there's only so much room in the book, but it would have been cooler to see some different dragon "species" rather than the transmogrified dragons and constructs. That stuff is cool too, but new dragon species even cooler!

D&D General The Purple Dragon Knights are tied to an Amethyst Dragon (confirmed)

There's been a lot of cool developments in the Realms since the 1360s . . . I'd simply reboot, reinvent, or reimagine the Realms and start fresh. Kinda like what they actually did with 5E, although that was all within the timeline. I'd simply say, here is the NEW Forgotten Realms . . . The...

D&D General The Purple Dragon Knights are tied to an Amethyst Dragon (confirmed)

That video annoyed the heck out of me, although I wonder if Greenwood's comments were taken out of context. Is Greenwood really irritated over these "mistakes", or was he just being nerdy and pointing out the inconsistencies? Nothing in the video complained about rose to the level of "lazy...

Goodman Games: Our Efforts Have Been Mischaracterized

Did Goodman resolve the issue and did you get what you ordered? Shipping and packing issues happen, unfortunately. I'm sorry you had a bad experience with Goodman's customer service rep, but it seems like the company pledged to resolve things based on the comments linked by @Distracted DM...

Dungeons & Dragons Teams Up With New Holland For New Beer

Nope. Some of those kids have grown up and are now proper old people. Who drink beer. I'm all for it, although stouts are not my drink of choice . . . but I'd give it a go if one of my play group bought a round!

D&D General More Details Revealed for Forgotten Realms Digital Expansions

I'm reposting info from earlier in this thread and others, but trying to bring pricing all together into one post . . . Heroes of Faerun Physical: $49.99 Digital: $29.99 ($25.49 with Legendary Bundle discount) Physical/Digital Bundle: $59.99 Adventures in Faerun Physical: $59.99 Digital...

Dhampir and Other Species To Be Included in Astarion's Book of Hungers

I'm not sure if I responded to you on this thread or the other one . . . but I think I said earlier, "they are free, with the bundle" . . . but now I realize I was incorrect. I got a little obsessed tonight (instead of going to bed) and did the math . . . The "Dallabad Oasis" (an animated...

Dhampir and Other Species To Be Included in Astarion's Book of Hungers

It looks like the digital "Heroes of Faerun" is $30 and "Adventures in Faerun" is $40 digital . . . so the two together should be $70 or less. $127?!?!?! So, we're paying $57 for the 3 DLC, the digital map of Faerun, a digital dice set, and the BG3 digital map pack. Wow. I'm hoping that pricing...

Dhampir and Other Species To Be Included in Astarion's Book of Hungers

THANKS! I was having a hell of a time finding that on the DDB website!!! EDIT: But . . . WOW. $127 for both digital books? And the info on the page implies the DLC bonuses (other than the animated map) only come with the "Ultimate" print/digital bundle . . . although I know it's been reported...

D&D General More Details Revealed for Forgotten Realms Digital Expansions

Well, it was only a few folks going on about that stuff . . . but yeah, that was weird.

D&D General More Details Revealed for Forgotten Realms Digital Expansions

Everyone? Nah. Unless we're hanging out in different threads . . . And there has been a lot of speculation about what they would contain, including speculation on player options, more campaign frames, and adventures. Which is pretty much what we are getting. And they ARE free . . . if you...
