I was just in the middle of writing something similar... I think that the popularity of TTRPGs would slowly decline without the brand name to bring in new people to the hobby. Also, without WotC around for people to hate, the scene would turn on each other as the fans of each game would fight...

I liked the spy-thriller vibes of this week's arc. It may have been the slowest burn so far, but I thought the pay-off was worth it. Plenty of great writing on offer as usual.

I played with a friend overseas on Sunday, it was the first group I've played in where everyone else is live and I'm the only one zooming in. The DM is a childhood friend of mine, and is running a game using BECMI (or maybe a modern system based on it, I'm not 100% sure) It was heaps of fun...

Yeah, I did think of him overall, it was more the modern films where I'd struggle, I'd have to compare rotten tomatoes. Prequels felt like a career curse to some degree.

I've been getting back into Kairosoft games lately. I watched a video that ranked all their games and noticed there's a free to play sequel to Game Dev Story called Social Dev Story, so I've been mixing that in with Marvel Snap and Pokemon Pocket.

I keep seeing so much buzz about this game. I also hear it's the sorta thing you need to go into blind if possible, so I've been avoiding reading about it. It's not on a platform I own (I haven't owned a PC in years), but I've been thinking of upgrading to a PS5 at some point.

I haven’t seen that yet, even though it was filmed in my city. I’m keen to though. I’ve heard it’s a bit of an underrated gem, much like The Nice Guys. Edit: Also, check out his band Dead Mans Bones, they only put out one album, but it’s fantastic.

I dunno, I thought he was pretty good in Bladerunner 2049. I’ve been a Ryan Gosling fan since Half Nelson, so I’m pretty excited by the announcement.
