This article popped up in my newsfeed. Not sure what it portends. Might be relevant to the whole Benn Riggs hullabaloo.
The short of it:

yeah, it seems that the person who ends up GMing the most is the one most dedicated to "playing" the game. In this particular context, I'm using "playing" in the general sense of the word, not just being a player.
My character Dweeny the Dwarf getting killed* by the carrion crawler outside the ruined walls of Castle Mistamere.
*The DM, my brother, retconned the encounter and I went on to face a Giant Bee, Kobolds, et al.
I voted for GM/DM, but lately I've been really itching to be a player again. Getting somebody else in our group to step up and take over is going to be difficult methinks.
Thanks, I'll check it out.
For the record, the game seems cool to me from what i can tell. If I was still heavily invested in video game, then I would probably really enjoy playing it. I like the grimdark genre.
btw, my only real exposure to Dark Souls is the viva la dirt league you tube...
hmmm, I've never played the video game so I can't really provide that kind of experience. Maybe I can reskin it and try to pass it off as something new. (Hey guys, want to play this new rpg called Sark Douls?)
Eh, shennanigans for another day perhaps.
