    Healing Surges

You could rule that, if you're supposed to lose a healing surge, lose the healing surge value in hp.

    Fillable Monster Cards?

What I've done is make up a PDF using Adobe InDesign. I would suggest simply going with a chart or table in Word or whatever since InDesign isn't used by all that many people, filling the squares with whatever colours you like, and simply inserting the monster info. You could get 4-5 monsters...

    Monsters and Multiple attacks.

Ah, I see my error. Someone had posted "if it were written like this" and that's the part I missed. I just read the MM entry for Fen Hydra, which I ought to have done earlier. For Hydra Fury, it simply says "The fen hydra makes four bite attacks." Therefore, by RAW, each bite attack from...

    Monsters and Multiple attacks.

I would rule it as being every attack action must have the Fighter amongst its. Thus, if a single standard at-will attack action results in four attacks (or 20), only one of those would need to target or include the Fighter to count. In the case of Hydra's Fury, as long as the Fighter is in...

    Trouble with Skill Challenge Construction

Use Endurance, Athletics and Acrobatics as primary skills with any other resourceful uses of other skills as secondary skills. To ratchet up the tension, every individual failure results in the loss of a healing surge. Again, loss of healing surges or impose a condition on them (weakened...

    Blast and adjacent area

    Exactly, and well put.

Staff of Defense Implement(1H or 2H)

I agree with both parts of this. Also, Parrying Dagger is a Superior Melee Weapon and so requires a feat to use.

    Good & Bad : Wizards

They control the battlefield, partially by doing damage to multiple enemies as well as creating or altering advantageous terrain to hinder and damage enemies. if you're looking to force movement, the Warlord is more that kind of "controller." They don't have low damage. Hitting 3 people at...

    Wand of Accuracy question

It's really vague, so it's basically up to the group and DM. My take is that it has to be used prior to rolling but hey... it's vague.

    Sleep spell and a shout

    I agree completely.

    Grasping Shadows... too powerful?

Very true. For me, though, I like the damage vs creating difficult terrain and causing knock down on initial attack. The other PCs in the party are: Human Warlord, Human Ranger (ranged), Human Wizard (myself), Halfling Rogue and Dragonborn Fighter. So the damage isn't really needed, but it...

Do Battleforged Armor & Cloak of the Walking Wounded stack?

As a hypothetical, it'd be pretty amazing. I thought he was talking about doing so for a game he was in. "I'm going to..." were his words, so I may have misunderstood his intentions. Yeah, with Infernal Pact... all that Con and the temp HP fun would make for a very powerful character with...

    qwer

Yeah, better to be safe than sorry. My girlfriend: "Why is your computer all messed up?" Me: "Ummm... I downloaded two files in an attempt to help a fellow geek out." Her: "Is this D&D stuff again?" Me: ".............. no, work related." Her: *glowers*

    Forced movement into a Zone

True. There are as many arguments for as there are against having a saving throw and treating a damage 'zone' as hazardous terrain. As per usual, I'll see what my DM says when I throw it at him, as I'm likely to do so next game.

    Sleep spell and a shout

I don't read that at all. I see it as it's written: the target is slowed (save ends). Failing that, they fall unconscious (save ends). If they're unconscious, they still have two effects going - slowed and magical unconscious unconsciousness. Need to save vs both as per any other situation...

    Forced movement into a Zone

Heh Well, that takes care of it for me, anyway. I'll see what my DM says, giving both sides of it. See what he says.

    The Correct Procedure to Die

Excellent. I haven't checked on erratas in a while. I didn't realize that! Good to know.

Do Battleforged Armor & Cloak of the Walking Wounded stack?

It's not about dumb monsters, it's about playing wisely. A ranged striker who constantly needs to self heal and/or needs that much Con and other magic item "tanking" goodies is playing poorly. Yes, it's great to be able to take the hits, but not at the expense of the classes designed to do so...

Well done, Caliban! That takes care of that discussion.

You're really late to the party. That was established 3 posts up.
