The Battlezoo Books look like they would add a lot of interesting options to SD and the price of $50 per book (US at least) is pretty reasonable, but releasing them all at once and bundled together seems to be too much for most. I think a staggered release would have been better, but maybe...

What makes me feel old is how out of touch everyone seems to be with everything now. Video games, TTRPG, boardgames, anime/manga, movies/streaming, etc. Get twenty diehard fans of any hobby in the same room and you'd be lucky if two people even know the same title, let along actually interacted...

This is my dream project. I've jotted down so many different mechanics to try and capture the feel of those games, but nothing has ever materialized. And even if it did, I realize there is no way my game would ever be marketable.

Speaking of which, I picked up Rick Martinez's latest book, Salsa Daddy, and loving it. Packed with recipes for mashed, blended, chopped, and cooked salsas. I've made at least half a dozen an so far all have been tasty. Would recommend!

3rd edition Forgotten Realms book for me. That was my realization of what it meant to be a professional when it came to designing material for D&D.

If I recall correctly, it was a Rules Cyclopedia clone, but seems to be gone from Drive-Thru now...

I own both BECMI and Rules Cyclopedia and prefer ACKS II because of the cleaner layout, updated rules (including AD&D material), and the extensive campaign rules (building and running). Also having hardbound books chock-full of kick-ass, full-color art is worth the price as well: @Desdichado...
