    Gloves of Storing Question

But a +5 weapon can only be harmed by another +5 or greater weapon. I could bang it against a lead vein for 10 hours and it would still be in perfect condition. =o)

New Game of Death: Battle Royale of the GAWDS

First I thought shadow adept, then I thought psychic warrior, then I thought constructor, but finally settled on red wizard =o)

    Gloves of Storing Question

And if you look up the word magi in the dictionary you would come to the conclusion that a cleric could use a robe of arch magi. RL definitions rarely have anything to do with a fantasy game. If they can do what you all say they can then who wouldn't have them? For 2k a pop? You could make a GMW...

    Gloves of Storing Question

There is no ruling for it anywhere on spell durations. Personally I would say that the spell keeps ticking away as the item is stored. The flame/torch thing is just really for torches that you want to store in them. I wouldn't take this to mean that spells don't continue to tick away. I would...

New Game of Death: Battle Royale of the GAWDS

Fine with me =o), I just gotta make sure your physical bodies are kept safe. =o)

    Polymorph/Cloak of the Bat question

As long as it has poor or better manuverability then it will avoid that wall if it is 10' in front of it since it can make a 90 degree turn within 10' of forward motion. =o)

New Game of Death: Battle Royale of the GAWDS

You are right, I am deaf, hence the quest/geas has no effect on me since it is language dependent. =o)

Just a short Pro Wotc thread

That's just a market gimmick, everyone knows it's their dice that really make the money. =o) But seriously I gotta give a cheer to WoTC also. =o)

    About Contingency

The spell description states it very well when it happens. Here is what the spell says about when it goes off. "In all cases, the contingency immediately brings into effect the second spell, the latter being "cast" instantaneously when the prescribed circumstances occur." What's that mean? Well...

    How much for this item?

I would forgo the costs of the red suit and just use quantum mechanics instead. =o)

    Money Systems

But if something costs a crown could they pay for it with 2 half crowns? If they could then they would only be paying 4sp for something that cost 5sp. I understand that you don't change the exchange rate and all but if they can spend 2 half crowns to pay for something that costs a crown then...

    About Contingency

Using what you just said then make contingency useless cuz it would never work then. If you had it to go off when you got hit by a fireball how would it know that you got hit by a fireball and not say engulfed in flames from a backdraft or something? It's magick. Don't think too much into it...

Ranged Touch Attack and Point Blank Shot

Mainly cuz there weren't sneak attacks in 2e but backstabs instead. =o) And 2x-4x damage was nowhere near worthless when you can wield two weapons backstab with both doing 1d8+str+other mods. Granted sneak attacks are much better and all though. =o)

    Mirror Image ... most confusing.

Untrue Check out change self. Nothing under Saving Throw in the stat block but in the spell description it says you do get a saving throw to disbelieve if you interact with it. And anyway, someone musta missed the part that mentioned house rule. =o)

    About Contingency

Sure, phrase it like, "Teleport me to blahblahblah if any 9th level spell is being cast with blahblahblah feet of me." Some DM's might think this is too broad though and require you to state a specific spell but personally I don't think that specifically stating any 9th level spell is too...

Ranged Touch Attack and Point Blank Shot

Same goes with criticals too. =o)

    About Contingency

It's all in the wording of the contingency. As you have it now. The contingency would go off after the spell was cast. How does it know that the spell was 9th level, well it's magick, there is no sense to try and argue that it doesn't or that it does. It is magick. If you wanted the...

    Mirror Image ... most confusing.

I've always house ruled mirror image. The images always get hit first but they only have the casters touch AC. Hit an image it goes away and there is now 1 less image. As for the major image part, no you couldn't. You could use them as a silent image of yourself. But then again these are my...

    magic immunity

Let me clarify my first answer =o) Magic immunity is treated as if the creature has unbeatable SR in regards to all spells targeted against it that fall under the magic immunity. Since this is the case you then resort to following the rules of SR which state as you said in 2, that SR only gets...
