I enjoyed using the Trick Shot flourish as well. Sad its gone. But I get why. I'm figuring to just say round up. So 1 or 2 squares for the most part. With your odds of getting the 2 squares goes up as your inspiration die size increases. And at 15th-level+ you have chance for 3 squares.

Again. There are class abilities that can be better than a feat in some circumstances. But I would caution you that whatever same feat you are denigrating, as inferior in the moment, will be "better" than the same class ability you are championing in other circumstances.

Having played a bard of swords for a while, I'm glad they addressed some of my issues with the subclass. Not necessarily in the ways I expected. But at least they acknowledged some of the problems with the original version.
