Since to some degree Lucasfilm is it's own group, I don't see why the would mind especially since WotC already published one for close to a decade. Since D&D is even bigger now, I'd think they'd want to exploit the synergy.

I may be misunderstanding your point, is it that Disney wouldn't allow a Star Wars RPG the way Lucasfilm did? Also, I believe extended means renewed.

I wish. There just wasn't a lot of innovation, unlike say Star Wars Saga Edition. It wasn't a very ambitious adaptation and maybe that was what the client wanted. In fact, I wonder if having had a past experience with Star Wars, would that make Paizo more or less likely to pursue the license?

If I remember right, Lisa Stevens led the development of WotC's 1st Edition of the Star Wars RPG. That being said, the 1st Edition was just D&D in space.

Sadly, that's the way the SW license goes. Nothing preventing anyone from play FFG Star Wars still, just like people play WEG SW and D20 SW.

Maybe Modiphius will make a 2d20 Star Wars?

Since the better your skill equates to a smaller die and lower roll, I think the game has more in common with the Window RPG than SW or Cortex.

Some of my players love this show. Sadly, I haven't seen it yet. I hope one difference from Savage Worlds is that it has hit points. I'm not a fan of wound systems.
