I've hated halfling art since 3e started the mini elf look. But 5e made them Lovecraftian horrors. If I saw one I would impulsively attack with fire.

No I'm the same. I loved Dragon, and White Dwarf, before they became house mags more. Even articles for games I didn't play were interesting as I got a glimpse into different systems.

I have never planned out a PC. I go "well these stats are screaming Fighter to me..." and do the rest as it comes along. Part of what I hated about 3.x was the need to plan to meet a PrC or other stuff.

As much praise as TEW gets reading the later parts of it, its incredibly railroady and the core of Power behind the Throne is IMO a bit lame. I wonder how much the new version changes that, if at all?
