I think that some of the books mentioned hold a place in people's hearts from their younger years. Back in the 1980s, when there wasn't much fantasy around, I read and reread the Belgariad and Dragonlance Chronicles far more often than their merits warranted.

That would make for some... interesting party dynamics.

A Wizard of Earthsea, Ursula le Guin. Besides several of the others that have already been mentioned, of course. And not mentioning new ones, like Small Gods by Terry Pratchett, The Dark Is Rising by Susan Cooper, Red Country by Joe Abercrombie and The Elfstones of Shannara by Terry Brooks.

Not fantasy, but fantasy-adjacent, and on top of that an excellent book: King Hereafter, by Dorothy Dunnett. The version I have is narrated by David Rintoul. It's the story of Macbeth set in the historical context. 40 hours, so it should keep you going for a while.

That's an even better excuse than blaming the dog!

Rivers of London, by Ben Aaronovich. Police procedurals involving the magic division of the Metropolitan Police. The main character is a huge nerd. Kobna Holdbrook-Smith does an excellent of bringing them to life in the audiobooks. They're not 20+ hours, but there's quite a lot of them so far...

You know, I don't actually remember Godfather III being so bad. I remember lots of people saying it was bad, mostly because of Sofia Coppola, but I found it a lot more enjoyable than II. (I suppose this should go in the "Unpopular Opinions" thread.)
