ZEITGEIST Zeitgeist and Roll20, any info?

The Roll20 marketplace is really terrible. You'd think they would be motivated to help people who want to give them money do so, but not the case. I'm baffled as to why you can't search by intended level as well as system. As a GM buying adventures, I would always have a particular gaming system...

ZEITGEIST Wanna playtest the next ZEITGEIST adventure?

I'm looking forward to seeing the final version of this module. I read through an earlier draft and thought it was probably the most interesting low-level module I've seen... ever. I wish I could have volunteered to playtest, but my group is just starting the full Zeitgeist adventure on Roll20.

D&D 5E (2014) It's Time To Rethink What An Adventure Path Can Be On Roll20

Just in time, as we are working our way through Adventure 1 in the series. It has been amazing so far, with rave player reviews. I'm still reading through the Dying Skyseer, but from prior versions I think it is one of best adventures in the series. My favorite new trick is the author somehow...

ZEITGEIST Zeitgeist and Roll20, any info?

There is definitely a continuum. We spent years using Roll20 for a very heavily modified 2e/homebrew system. Roll20 worked just fine. We didn't use a lot of published modules, but those that we did use were absolutely fine and usable. As others said, the biggest challenges are the maps, dynamic...

D&D 5E (2014) It's Time To Rethink What An Adventure Path Can Be On Roll20

Oops-- I miscounted. I was intending to celebrate, not to rub it in that you have one of the biggest adventures left to go!

D&D 5E (2014) It's Time To Rethink What An Adventure Path Can Be On Roll20

So excited! Our group just had our first session of the AP. We did a mini-campaign as a prequel with Bonds and Crypta and some homebrew (set 100 years before Island occurs), but were waiting for the Roll20 versions before we took on the big campaign. Rave reviews thus far! @Tormyr, it looks...

ZEITGEIST MAPS - The Biggest (and Best) Problem with Zeitgeist

That was very generous of you to share those with us! (I'm still planning to wait and buy the Roll20 versions, but good to have maps in the hand.)

ZEITGEIST MAPS - The Biggest (and Best) Problem with Zeitgeist

I agree that maps (both player and DM versions) are the biggest missing piece. The Roll20 versions solve that problem, but only for those on Roll20 (and we have to wait as they are produced). Hopefully a map repository with high-res player and DM-facing maps will be a part of the new Zeitgeist...

    ZEITGEIST Traditional Drakran Beliefs

I went Norse and a bit dark with the Dwarven nation of Drakr. Instead of an organized "Demonocracy" I just have more vague references to Dwarves making deals with dark powers to throw off oppressors and conquer neighbors. I tied their pre-eschatology belief system in more closely with the Titans...

    ZEITGEIST The Ragman

Thanks for the ideas and feedback! I like Hirou's idea, but one PC already has a coffee date with the young nobleman (who is perfectly kind by day but driven to kill at night), so I think I'm committed to that path. I'm not sure about the Voice of Rot connection, yet. I leaned hard into the...

ZEITGEIST Want to be notified when the Adventures In ZEITGEIST Kickstarter launches?

How is the Adventures in Zeitgeist project coming along? Still planning for a winter kickstarter? The initial module looks amazing, and I'm excited to see and hear more about the book.

D&D 5E (2014) It's Time To Rethink What An Adventure Path Can Be On Roll20

@Tormyr, any updated estimate for when the next adventure in the Zeitgeist series will be out? Are you still thinking 1-2 months after the first one was released?

    ZEITGEIST The Ragman

We are starting a Zeitgeist campaign. Of the 100+ pages of player information, backstories, NPC info, etc., the one thing that my party has collectively seized on prior to the campaign is one of the very few hooks that leads absolutely nowhere -- The Ragman. Because of the energy they are...

ZEITGEIST Converting Zeitgeist 5th edition to the Eberron world

I would just echo the importance of reading through as much of the adventure path as you can before getting too far down the road on the conversion/localization. I homebrewed a short campaign set 100 years prior to the adventure path, and while doing so I made some adjustments to the world and...

ZEITGEIST Magic Items in 5e Conversion

To give this a bump, I would also be interested in hearing and "lessons learned" or recommendations regarding magic items. The biggest concern among my players as I've introduced this campaign is that I told them they can't be "murder hobos" who get to keep all the stuff of anyone they murder...

D&D 5E (2014) It's Time To Rethink What An Adventure Path Can Be On Roll20

@Zaukrie, we have also been looking at Foundry (I hear great things about it), Fantasy Grounds, and other platforms. The Zeitgeist AP and our sunk cost (time plus some of the books) made me decide to stay on Roll20 for now. A lot of the irritants and inefficiencies of Roll20 can be solved with...

D&D 5E (2014) It's Time To Rethink What An Adventure Path Can Be On Roll20

I want to put in a plug for the Campaign Guide/Player's Guide on Roll20 as well. I already had these resources in pdf (I think they are all free, though they might have been through the Patreon), so initially bought it just to be supportive and because it was only $5. The deeper I get into the...

D&D 5E (2014) It's Time To Rethink What An Adventure Path Can Be On Roll20

I think a lot of the things from Eberron port over and fit nicely and thematically within the Zeitgeist world, but I have to agree that the world and the story are intertwined to a level that I haven't seen in other adventures or settings so it would be hard to fully merge the two.

ZEITGEIST Are high resolution maps available for VTTs?

The Roll20 Conversion is all that was promised and more. I am just starting to dig into it as I prep to start a new campaign, but just reading through it is making me better at using Roll20, a system I've used for years. The adventure is ready to go out of the box, but I was able to quickly...

ZEITGEIST Are high resolution maps available for VTTs?

True confessions -- I've had this thread and the Ancris IT (Tormyr's) Roll20 Creator page open on my computer for the past week and keep hitting refresh every few hours. I'm like a little kid waiting for Christmas (or maybe a young teenager waiting for instagram likes on a selfie).
