The one thing that I really like about Lightning Bolt is that it hits targets in a narrow line. This has proved useful in games more times than I can count.

Worse, try gaming with someone who knows the rules, is reading them aloud from the book, and deliberately misquotes them in an attempt to mislead you. I caught a guy doing that because I happened to have that same section of text memorized. I'm glad I don't game with him any more.
