Oh sure taunt us with d20 Future again... But from the looks of your story hour d20 Future should be more than enough to support the basics of the Firefly setting. I agree that a campaign book would still be need though.

I suggest that you go back and read the rules for metabreath feats again. Metabreath feats can only be used by creatures that have a breath weapon whose time between uses is expressed in rounds. I have to agree with everyone else. The Menace Manual really is a superb book. The sheer variety of monsters for use in a modern world campaign is great. Time to put the fear back into the players!

I believe that Unapproachable East is 3.5e as well.
