D&D 4E Is anyone running Murder in Baldur's Gate with 4E? (and other 4E adventure design issues)

I will agree with that completely. I ran that twice, once with 10+ people (in 4E) and we had a blast.

And I totally agree that one can riff off of MIBG and come up with good things, I just found myself increasingly wondering "why should I"? And more than half my player base felt the same way.

D&D 4E Is anyone running Murder in Baldur's Gate with 4E? (and other 4E adventure design issues)

Howdy, I'm the DM from the other thread. I guess what I meant, and actually, what my players meant, was a challenging encounter that would engage the party of six, in what for 4E has become a traditional set piece battle. They did ambush the Tax Collectors bodyguards (a 4 on two battle that...

And you seriously it wouldnt be a thing? If the players didn't assume Monster X had 3 autosaves and ran them out first? That was talked about the very first day WOTC talked about Legendary creatures.

I LOVE Indomitable. As others have said, it calls back to the 1st Edition and 2nd Edition fighter. That was one of the changes that ruined 3rd Edition the most. In earlier editions, higher level characters and monsters made saves easier. In third, they both gave the Wizards more powerful...

    D&D 5E (2014) Long Rest is a Problem

I would encourage people to check out Adventurer, Conqueror,King's "Mortal Wounds" system. When you drop below 0 hit points, you drop unconscious, but until your friends look at you, they don't know exactly what has happened to you. A Heal check, modified by things like your damage taken and...

    You're Marked..how and what'sum'up?

I ran through the first combat from Keep on the Shadowfell a few times Sunday to get a feel for the game, in advance of teaching it to my group. I saw the need for a way to mark being "Marked", as well as Bloodied and a few other things. I went to the local superstore and bought some 3/8"...
