    D&D 5E (2014) 5E Survivor - Deities (Part X: Dawn War Deities)

The original 4E lore for the Raven Queen was that she was a mortal who was claimed by the god of death as his queen and slew him to usurp godhood. The other deities intervened since the last god of death had been a tyrant who collected the souls of the dead, so to limit her power they made it so...

So the last episode of Exandria Unlimited: Calamity is starting off well.

D&D 5E (2014) Get The Vecna Dossier Free At D&D Beyond

I get the feeling that official 5E monsters are designed for unoptimized parties. In my last campaign I often ended up using the maximum possible HP total (based on HD) for creatures and bumped up damage.

D&D 5E (2014) Vecna new art was a collaboration with Stranger Things!

I'm still annoyed that the creature that Stranger Things named after D&D's Demogorgon is now what everybody not into D&D thinks of when they hear his name. At least this new creature kinda looks a bit like a weird take on a lich.

D&D 5E (2014) Let’s Read Mordenkainen Presents: Monsters of the Multiverse.

Hmm. I know it makes their damage output more consistent, but the original version of the merregon where they needed a sufficiently strong devil around for the extra attack made encounters with them a bit more interesting.

    D&D 5E (2014) Here's Dragons of Stormwreck Isle's Table of Contents

I assumed the pregens for this would be the characters from the D&D cartoon.

Critical Role EXU: Calamity Discussion (Spoilers)

How reliable that perspective is remains to be seen. Still, it was an interesting choice on Mulligan's part to portray Asmodeus as he has. It's defintely not how I'd expect D&D's equivalent to Satan to behave, but it could all just be an act.

I'm curious how much more the remaining two episodes will go into the creation of the world itself.

    D&D 5E (2014) Special Ingredients for Crafting +x Items

I haven't actually had anyone try to craft a magic item in a campaign yet, but one suggestion I found online is to look for spells that require material components and have effects at least thematically similar to whatever the magic item does. Unfortunately, the magic weapon spell doesn't...

    D&D General D&D and AI Text-to-Image Generation

I typed in "Underdark" on the DALL-E demo and got some neat stuff:

    D&D General D&D and AI Text-to-Image Generation

Thanks for that, it makes me feel a bit better. "AI making artists obsolete" is one of those ideas that gives me the willies (although a lot of the AI generated images I've seen give me a very strong "uncanny valley" feeling). I did find it amusing that even this AI thinks that Demogorgon is...

Eventually all formerly creative media will be automatically-generated by AI, probably.
