It makes things a little more clear for a DM customizing a monster up or down in spellcasting power, or for a new DM to understand where the numbers on a monster come from.
So the Monster Manual is not releasing until February 2025, and we are getting previews. The Dungeon Master's Guide is coming in November 2024, so where are the previews for that book?
Just in case folks did not notice, Rich is selling the Snips, Snails, and Dragon Tales collection in PDF, and it is updated with some new commentary and some additional strips from Gygax Magazine:

The bones of real skeletons don't remain connected. Jawbones for example. I think it would be easy to notice something odd about bones that remain connected without connective tissue holding them together.
I grant you the idea of loose bones clattering together and rejoining as the skeleton...
What is weird to me is that the Languages for most of the skeletons here have the "Understands all languages it knew in life but can't speak" but the minotaur skeleton has "Understands Abyssal but can't speak." This is something also in 2014 MM.
Edited to add: Ah. I see now. The base 2014...

Edited to add: Some...
I think there will be a line in the 2024 PHB that says "Check with your DM for information on the available deities in the campaign." For games with homebrew gods, having gods in the PHB could be confusing and/or disappointing for players.
Remember that we are getting Greyhawk as an example...
Yes, this works fine. I have the Dragon Magazine CD set and I have copied the PDFs over to my hard drive on both Windows 10 and now on Windows 11. Swapping CDs is so last century!
Note that in the Windows search box, you need to type contents: <term> for it to search within the PDFs (as...
Not many, but I see it in various places from time to time. A quick search here yields an old thread:

Not to single anyone out. Most folks are cool when it is explained to them it takes...
