Spoilers Star Wars: The Acolyte [Spoilers]

AFAIK there is no official Star Wars wiki. And even official sources have been known to make mistakes... from time to time.

Spoilers Star Wars: The Acolyte [Spoilers]

The lurker in the cave was not Koril unless her Zabrak appearance 16 years ago was some sort of illusion or disguise. The lurker looks like a Muun, so very likely Darth Plagueis. This gives Plagueis access to the story of Osha and Mae and the idea of their creation, and with Osha training with...

Spoilers Star Wars: The Acolyte [Spoilers]

I think I would like this too. The problem comes in that antagonists need to be pretty much classic black hat for the classic white hat schtick to work, and those types of opponents are not very interesting to watch week in and week out, IMO.

Spoilers Star Wars: The Acolyte [Spoilers]

Aristotle said the resolution of a good drama should be "unexpected but inevitable." I can imagine a number of possible endings, but I am unsure which of them (or, more likely, which combination of elements from them) will be canon after tomorrow's episode.

House of the Dragon spoiler thread

The holes are not very consequential in relation to the full surface area of her wings. Bats can fly with small tears in their wings. The feathered wings of birds are not technically "solid" but the gaps are small enough to not matter.

D&D 5E (2014) Spells, Targetting, and Glass Windows

There is a Sage Advice about this: https://www.sageadvice.eu/is-a-glass-window-considered-a-total-cover/ I know Sage Advice is not always the best advice, but I thought I would put it out there.

    D&D 5E (2024) Printed 2024 Player's Handbook Compared with Other 5E books

And even if you get really good at it, there is an X factor that is hard to account for: your players. I have fights that I thought would be challenging, and my players will play cautiously and conservatively, with good organized tactics so it becomes a routine fight. Other times, it's like they...

Spoilers Star Trek Prodigy season 2

I just finished too. And I agree that where the show started and where it ended in terms of tying in to Star Trek are worlds apart, but did not feel forced or shoehorned in (well, maybe the last few minutes of the last episode). This season was full of time travel with some alternate universe...

New Paramount: Paramount Global and Skydance Merger Confirmed Finally

Glad it's a change of logo and not the name; "Paradance" and "Skymount" are right out! :ROFLMAO:

New Paramount: Paramount Global and Skydance Merger Confirmed Finally

New exec: "We're really interested in all the Star Trek you have going on here." Old exec: "Glad to hear it! It's a big part of our content line up." New exec: "Though we'd like to introduce some plotlines and characters..."

Spoilers The boys Season 4 (spoilers)

I think @Morrus meant season 5, not 6. I know it's hard to keep track sometimes.

    D&D 5E (2024) Printed 2024 Player's Handbook Compared with Other 5E books

Yeah, I am unsure about some of the changes, but some of them look cool so it's worth the price to pick it up and take a look. I may cherry-pick some rules and features to hybridize into my game. Time will tell if the 2014/2024 ratio in my game is 80%/20%, 50%/50%, or something else. I am...

    D&D 5E (2024) Printed 2024 Player's Handbook Compared with Other 5E books

They can pay to expedite shipping for a single pallet or two, but they can't afford to do that for all of them, or we would be paying $100 for each copy. Plus, it takes time to print and assemble that many books -- this is probably one of the first ones off the press.

User Name and Avatars: Origin Stories

Like many others, my username is from a favorite D&D PC. Rab was a halfling multiclass fighter-thief, created back in 1986 for an AD&D game at college. I envisioned him as a swashbuckling type (very different from his halfling kin), with some Indiana Jones influence, exploring the unknown...

New Paramount: Paramount Global and Skydance Merger Confirmed Finally

Kinda like 20th Century Fox. :ROFLMAO: Hopefully this leads to some good movies.

Not too surprising. The concept of the screw, one of the Simple Machines, has been around since the ancient Greeks or older.

    The Fellowship of the Ring

Caveat: I am not a reader of the books. I found each season 1 got better in many things over the course of the season, and by the end was a much more solid offering. I even said to friends that I wondered how the producers could finish episode 8 and look back on episode 1 and not go back and...

    D&D 5E (2014) A better model for Legendary Resistance

I like a lot of these ideas, but this one above gave me an idea. This is just off-the-cuff spitballing at this point, so there may be things I have not thought through fully yet. Instead of Legendary Resistance, legendary foes get a certain number of Legendary Destinies (LD) per round...
