Spoilers Star Trek: Strange New Worlds - Season 3 Viewing (Spoilers)

Ooohh... imagine if they had not wrapped up Rukiya's story and she was still in the buffer... now alongside this transdimensional demonic entity. That could have gotten very dark.

D&D General Does anyone recall coming across any magic weapons that return when thrown...other than Dwarven Thrower, Hammer of Thunderbolts or magic boomerangs?

In Dragonlance, Tasslehoff's dagger Rabbitslayer was not a returning weapon per se, but it would always find its way back to him.

Spoilers Star Trek: Strange New Worlds - Season 3 Viewing (Spoilers)

Yes, as a Trek fan from way back, I and my friends have often pointed to uses of the transporter (or other technologies) in some episodes being solutions to problems in other episodes. We became resigned to seeing these inconsistencies and try to look beyond them (but it doesn't mean we don't...

Spoilers Star Trek: Strange New Worlds - Season 3 Viewing (Spoilers)

I wonder why they did not put Batel in the transporter pattern buffer to delay her Gornification?

D&D 5E (2024) Paizo Abomination Vaults on Dndbeyond!

True, but it's easier than building entirely from scratch or using Roll20. I have not used the importer for an adventure, but it imports everything else nicely (again, giving the developer a few weeks to accommodate new titles on DDB). Adventures are the most complex structure to import, so I...

D&D 5E (2024) Paizo Abomination Vaults on Dndbeyond!

If you buy it on D&D Beyond there is a DDB importer module and Patreon subscription that imports adventures from your DDB purchases to Foundry. It takes them a bit of time to get the import working well so you may want to wait a couple months after its release and then sign up for the Patreon...

Thanks for this, but I disagree with your example. I can tell a difference in pronunciation and mouth position saying "goo-ee" versus "goo-we". Using the W sound my lips constrict, even if briefly. Edited to add: Also, my point was it was very rare in the English language for the letter W in a...

TIL. They are very rare words here in the US, but that will teach us not to steal words from the Welsh. :ROFLMAO:

    Are Ghosts Real? (a poll)

An interesting concept, but as I said, it's a big leap when the entirety of our experience of the universe thus far has shown external objects and beings to be detectable. Your extraordinary claim requires extraordinary evidence. If it were true, the scientific method would have a hard time...

    Are Ghosts Real? (a poll)

That is a big leap. So far, there is nothing else external to us that works like that (observable to some but not others). Edited to add: Yes, some people have different ranges of hearing or vision, but anything a person could detect, there is a way to measure and/or detect it with a device.

Eyes of Wakanda | Official Trailer

The animation was stellar, as usual for recent Marvel animation. The stories were too short and superficial to really delve into anything, IMO.

    Are Ghosts Real? (a poll)

I think you may be conflating intelligence with knowledge. They are different things. If you took one of our pre-agriculture ancestors and me and dropped us both into the wilderness, the ancestor would have more relevant knowledge to help them to survive. Physically our brains would be the...

Why do you separate out W here? I consider W to be a full consonant.

Streamlining spelling? Now that is crazy talk!! :ROFLMAO:

The W is needed for its unique sound. If you really want to streamline the English alphabet, get rid of Q (K can handle its sound) and C (its sounds get divvied up between S and K). ;)

    Are Ghosts Real? (a poll)

When you say "for entertainment" basis, does she tell her customers and listeners "Hey folks, this is all in good fun and not real. I have no supernatural power and I am just making this stuff up. Thanks for listening."? If not, she is contributing to the idea that this stuff is real. While she...

Seth Green gets scammed out of his NFT and it tanks his new show.

Those were just random screen grabs, not an NFT. Any group of random images from a live feed could serve the same purpose. Remember, the NFT is not the image itself. And yes, good riddance to NFTs.
