In fact most may have stuck with 2014. But if 2024 did capture say 40% of that much bigger market in a year or so, then it would be a lot of sales.

D&D is popular again, like 40 years ago. (It’s a question if that popularity will collapse, like 40 years ago).

It is a fun book with some cleaver bits. It’s been a long time, but I certainly enjoyed it all those years ago.

Since D&D and specifically 4e has come up, it’s designers have specifically said it’s not simulationist. That was very much part of the design intent, not to try to simulate anything. I can put in a reference later, if needed.
