    It’s an undead you control. So both the level 10 and second half the 14 features work with it. But I agree it's inconsistent. Adding "find familiar is a Necromancy spell" would fix that.

    D&D 5E (2024) Tinkering with the Monk

    Mechanically it has a strong niche. Highest maneuverability skirmisher, with a unique resource pool that meshes well with the base class. Thematically it might not be for everyone, but I really like it mechanically. It just was underpowered in 2014 and a tiny bit over tuned in 2024 (IMO).

    Also worth noting that allies can fail their grapple check. So you can move 2 people as a reaction. Not sure that will come up often, but maybe pulling the barbarian back before dropping a Hypnotic Pattern over the area.
