    D&D General Let's celebrate D&D having things we don't like! (+)

Listen, you shouldn't just name things. Consider adding context on why the thing you don't like is good. PRAISE it.

    D&D General Let's celebrate D&D having things we don't like! (+)

D&D is the game for everyone, so there's something for everyone! That means they'll be things we don't like, but that's a good thing we should celebrate! So let's have a topic where we praise the things we personally don't like about D&D! I'll start. I hate the fact WOTC doesn't purge the...

    D&D 5E (2024) You're not planning on getting 2024 D&D? Why is that?

Multiple reasons really. 1. My friends don't like 5E in general. They prefer to have more rules to interact with in general. Pathfinder served that purpose mostly. On a personal level, I think 5E would be a better fit for me right now then Pathfinder since I'm willing to trade gradualory for...

I am surprised I am still excited for Daggerheart

Have you looked at Level Up, EnPublishing's own take on the 5E engine? It could be the better designed 5E you're looking for!!

D&D General How Often Should a PC Die in D&D 5e?

It is WOTC forcing a playstyle or is it WOTC listening to the players and giving them what they want???

How to Tell a Player, "No"?

Advise your "friend" to take a few minutes utes to learn what D&D is. On the other hand, can't a Druid just shape-shift into a dinosaur???

    D&D General Playstyle vs Mechanics

If a person enjoys D&D, why go somewhere else? You're already in a good spot! I only dislike people who only play D&D if they come to this forum and complain a lot about D&D. You should know there are other options!

Grittiness and Lethality in Game Combat vs in Read-Only Fiction

In 3rd Edition, you win combat because you used system mastery to make a character that can defeat any situation. You scry your opponent, cast twenty buffs, then teleport in to ambush them [emoji14]

How many of you killed a character over the objection of the player? I have.

Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

If your playstyle can't survive without WOTC's support, did it really deserve to live in the first place?

    D&D 5E (2024) The Lackluster Ranger

I'll fix the Ranger! Rangers don't get spells. Instead, their attacks deal an extra d4 damage per proficiency point. Instead of gaining a subclass feature, they make an additional attack during the attack action. This stack on itself. Done. Thank me by liking this post.

Iterations on my White Whale: Exploration turns to Adventuring

My bad. In my defense, there was a lot of text there.

Iterations on my White Whale: Exploration turns to Adventuring

All the text in the world means diddly squat if it falls flat at the table. Have you play tested it yet??

D&D General Matt Colville: "50 years later we're still arguing about what D&D even is!"

Then stop being surprised and outraged when you see playstyles that are different from yours???

WotC Some Rich Dude Calls for Wizards of the Coast to "Burn in Hell" and I Refuse to Care

It could be a lot worse obviously. What if Taylor Swift said the Ranger class was unfun to play? Can you imagine the carnage??
