    D&D 5E (2014) Any Advice on A Pantheon

I always liked Greyhawk's Heironious/Hextor take on war gods.

D&D 5E (2014) Latest Updates for the World of Farland

I've run one of your adventures, Crypt of Memory, and wrote a review... https://5egrognard.blogspot.com/2017/01/crypt-of-memory-review.html

    D&D 5E (2014) Let's Read: Volo's Monsters

For monster stat blocks I wish that they would replace lists of spells to have to look up. Just expand the stat block a bit and make it a recharge ability or limit it to a number of times a day. For example... Fireball (1/day) Ranged spell attack. 150 feet, 20 foot radius. 28 (8d6) fire damage...

    D&D 5E (2014) Roll20 vs Fantasy Grounds

Not to derail the OP here, but I have a question that is a bit out of left field for the VTT, but was wondering... I have a friend who wants me to run a game for him. We have totally different schedules, and were going to do a play by post type game. He'd probably be playing a couple characters...

Tales From The Yawning Portal - 7 Classic Dungeons Updated To 5E!

I'm torn with this announcement. At first I was excited. Some great adventures there! Then I realized I've been running a lot of classic adventures while converting on the fly. I'm running White Plume Mountain right now. I have the Classic Modules Today conversion guide for it, but have yet to...

D&D 5E (2014) Give me your craziest, most GONZO PC concepts!

I played one session in a space fantasy game of 5e as a warforged tome warlock. I was basically a battle droid (eldritch blasters), whose other "spells" were really just the effects of implants and such. My "owl familiar" is a drone. When he levels up, he "goes in for upgrades".

    Shocker (Melee Weapon)

In my game I've had Shocklances. Spears that do an equivalent of the shocking grasp cantrip. I've envisioned other similar magitech type weapons that had cantrip like powers.

D&D 5E (2014) Looking for an intro 1st level zombie adventure

I haven't yet, but I plan on running The Town of Bridgepuddle. It is for levels 5-8, though.

    Dragon+ Issue 11

I do look at it from the web. I've copy and pasted before, but can't with this issue. I use a Chromebook, so I can't use Firefox. Can't seen to find a Chrome extension to help. I reinstalled the app. I can't see how to email an article, but I was able to copy and share it to my email, so...

    Dragon+ Issue 11

Is there any way to save a portion of these or copy and paste them? I want a copy of that "What's in the Giant's Bag" d100 table.

D&D 5E (2014) Latest Updates for the World of Farland

Thanks for this batch as well. I'm a big fan of the herbs you've presented. I've added them as an option in my game.

D&D 5E (2014) Help: Getting rid of spell slots

I do like your "cast against a DC" system. Seems streamlined and straight-forward. It's a system worth considering. I would be worried about the system getting abused, though. Maybe some sort of penalty if you were to fail. Reminds me of the system in DCC, though it's been awhile since I've...

    D&D 5E (2014) Running a game from a tablet.

I don't use a tablet for my games, but I do use a Chromebook. It's a browser-based laptop that runs mostly online. I tend to run pre-published adventures that I modify, and I usually run them from a pdf. Google Docs is a great resource. I've filled mine with homebrew and stuff copy and pasted...

D&D 5E (2014) Should short rest be an hour long?

I've come to this discussion late, and honestly, don't feel like reading through all the posts. I have skimmed and caught some of the general ideas, though. I just wanted to add a house-rule that I use that I call a "quick rest". This is meant as nothing more as a quick heal up. You can only...

    D&D 5E (2014) Changing a player's race mid campaign

I had something similar happen with my game. The characters my group played at the end of the play-test carried over into 5e once it was released. These players were all new to D&D. After a few sessions, I noticed that they weren't all really playing their "builds". I allowed each player a...

D&D 5E (2014) Selecting the Simplest Sorcerer Solution

The same player plays the sorcerers in two different games. None of the other players are really interested in being a primary spellcaster. I would like to see it beside a wizard, though. The 8th level sorcerer did start off as a wizard, but at 3rd level I let him convert to a sorcerer. This...

D&D 5E (2014) Selecting the Simplest Sorcerer Solution

The group with the 8th level sorcerer has 6 characters in it. A war cleric, moon druid, hunter ranger, champion fighter and a theif rouge. The rogue was recently replaced with a shadow monk. The 5th level (actually 6th now that I think of it) is in a 3 player group with a valor bard and a...

D&D 5E (2014) Selecting the Simplest Sorcerer Solution

I've been using a variation of this system. Same player has played two different sorcerers in two groups, one is now 5th level, the other 8th. Spell points and sorcery points get combined into one pool, since they do transfer at a 1:1 ratio. I call the entire pool sorcery points, and they can...

D&D 5E (2014) I wish we could get more racial variety with Kobolds.

In one of my recent games I had bronze-scaled kobolds that served a bronze dragon. It was more of a role play encounter, so no stats were needed.
